That keeps me from doing business with someone, for sure.

Of course, not playing can also be something they view as hostile.
- Comment on What age gap is too big of an age gap if someone's in their early 30's? 5 days ago:
Once you’re 30, as long as the other person is in your general age group or older, and the relationship works for both of you, your specific ages don’t matter.

I’ve been wanting to play that game for so long! It looks so good, outside the porn aspect.

I got rid of my last VW after I got tired of plastic parts breaking. It happened every winter, after a cold snap.

The more expensive Sega Genesis games were $90.
- Comment on How difficult would it be to live in a modern-day developed country without a smartphone? 2 weeks ago:
In the US, it’s not a requirement. I use my phone for nothing but occasionally making or receiving calls, taking photos, and messaging friends, but all of that could be done without it. I just use it because I have it.

- Comment on What would you do if your gym trainer is 5 minutes late? 4 weeks ago:
Sounds like my hairstylist. I’m always her first client of the day, and I always end up sitting outside and waiting for her to get there. I get it, going to work sucks. She’s good and I like the location, so I don’t complain.
- Comment on Thinheritance 4 weeks ago:
Mine had it until my mom’s generation. She seemed to take pleasure in telling me she was going to throw it out unless I took it while I was living in a place where I couldn’t.
- Comment on It would get old fast 4 weeks ago:
My aunt and her family lived in a place like this. It was such a weird vibe. We never walked or rode our bikes anywhere, we just played in the yard.
- Comment on It would get old fast 4 weeks ago:
I didn’t even notice, but that’s so weird. Buy a house like that and park your car out front?

Love it when a page loads, and it’s just a white blank. Like, you didn’t even try. Do I want to turn JS on or close the tab? Usually, I just close the tab and move on. Nothing I need to see here.

It sounds like your mom went through a lot. I believe that my mother’s issues are also the result of family abuse. (2 of her 3 sisters have the same behaviors.) I feel sorry for her, but she’s still a bad person. She lives in the same town as my brother and his family, right next to her grandkids’ school, so she definitely does not need me to move in with her.

I suspect my mom has BPD or a similar condition because of similar behavior. She lied about me constantly, stole from me, randomly flew into intense rages which sometimes included physical attacks, and tried to sabotage everything I did. Now that she’s elderly, she wants my bf to change jobs so we can move to her state and live with her. 🙄

Blasting down the road might save you about 3 minutes on an hour and a half trip, as best I can tell. It doesn’t seem worth the stress or the danger of causing an accident or getting pulled over.
- Comment on A game you "didn't know it was bad 'til people told you so"? 2 months ago:
IMO, I would rate them: ME1 Andromeda ME2 ME3
The original Mass Effect was great, a classic, but 2 and 3 had less and less of what I’d loved about the first game. By the time I got to 3, I was playing because I felt invested in the story and characters, not because I found the gameplay enjoyable. Andromeda wasn’t quite as enjoyable as ME1 to me, mostly because I didn’t connect with the characters as much, but the story was surprising and original, fights were exciting, and the gameplay had a lot of interesting new elements that made the scenario feel immersive. It’s really too bad that so many people didn’t like it.

The beginning of the game is really bleak, but it makes the scenario of trying to colonize a lifeless planet feel all the more real IMO. After you meet aliens and start terraforming planets, it starts to be more what people wanted out of it, I think.
