Todd is home, after two days away at the mechanics. New spark plugs and a new timing belt, and he made friends with another Caddy in the parking lot.
They were running a bit late so I took a cab instead of walking down, which was very quick - I barely had time to get my shoes on before he arrived!

I enjoy the all the Doom games but also some of the music is awesome industrial metal type of genre.
A most notable composer is Mick Gordon from Queensland. His work on Doom: Eternal is a great heavy rhythmic and metallic type of soundscape perfectly suited to the game.
of course I will eventually buy the new iteration but unfortunately I think it’s a different composer this time.

I really don’t understand people’s obsession with using Teams / Zoom / whatever for one-on-one short meetings that are perfectly suitable for a phone call. I get it if there’s more than one person involved or it’s going to be a detailed meeting. Then I feel awkward if I leave my camera off when the other person joins with it on.

I don’t have a Web cam on my pc. There’s no need to see me. I use nvidia broadcast to filter my mic too so I avoid my phone or laptops with Web cams in them.

Movie review. Holmes and Watson with Will ferral.
I am embarrassed to say I just could not finish this movie, it just didn’t work for me.
The sets were beautiful, the costuming lovely. The jokes were passe, too many riffs off the series Sherlock with Cumberbatch. Too many jokes just too rude or not even funny.
Maybe it could have been edited better. 🤷♀️ 2 hobbits.

yesterday I noticed my little right toe has no voluntary movement but still has feeling. I tore the tendon many years ago and it’s been iffy since but this kinda made me a little sad. I’ve had that toe for a long time and it’s like a part of me.

Can anyone tell me how to open this damn toilet to put one of the blue blocks in? Neither myself nor the wife can. The lid raises like a cm or 2 but feels like it’s being held down somehow.

Grip with one hand on each side. Support lid with palms and fish around with finger tips to find the little latches inside that hold it shut. Push latch(es) in and finish raising the lid. Alternatively, raise one side by a few cms, when that releases raise the other side. Insert blue block. Replace lid until it clicks. Disinfect hands. Easy. Used to have one of these.

It is at least very obvious if I have the reading glasses on and look up at anything else. It might help keep me focused on my reading, I certainly can’t focus on anything else. I’ll probably only wear the reading glasses when I am sitting on the lounge reading, the multi-focals are good for everything else.

Finally finished off the last of this batch of stir fry.
Stuffed it up with cooking the noodles too long or something and they weee too soft and gluggy.
Hopefully next batch will go better. If not then it’s the brand of hokkien noodles I picked up.
