Is it odd to see a fox roaming suburban streets? Was on a night walk and saw one in a neighbour’s front yard. Thought it was a cat but that’s a big cat with a very bushy tail. I was startled.

There’s this American guy sitting in the co-working open plan area today (in a group of 4) and he is literally SHOUTING his conversation. Non-stop talking since I arrived. I will be getting no work done today. I think I’m going to move for the day instead of asking them to STFU, I don’t feel like a confrontation today.

I had an event in St Kilda tonight, on Fitzroy St, and won’t be heading back there anytime soon. Been a long time since I’ve been in that area. It’s soul-less, don’t see the appeal other than it’s a street near a mid beach.

1.5 hours on the phone with Microsoft tech support for moving my domain email provider to Microsoft, and still not resolved! Ran into an issue exporting inbox from old provider to new, and then the tech support guy had another appointment and had to go. Talk about leaving your customer in the lurch. I think I know how to fix but that was all the IT problems I could handle for one afternoon, will revisit when I’m bored enough on the weekend.

Filling up petrol at 7/11 tonight, I see a sign about stocking onigiri and gyoza. Very reminiscent of Japan 7/11.
Inspected the gyoza more closely. Korean BBQ beef flavoured, looked good. Discounted $5.50 for 5 pieces. Eating now, they’re pretty good. Will try the onigiri next time.

Automating leave requests is ridiculous. It sounds like once an arbitrary number of staff are on leave on any given day, you get rejected? A business running on not enough staff is not your problem.

I can understand that reason being given once, but it sounds like a resourcing issue to me if it’s happened to you over and over. You can’t be expected to know when you want a few days of leave several months in advance.

Had to visit Camberwell for a meeting today, not an area of Melbourne I’ve ever visited. Such a contrast to my west side hood, in the types of people walking around, the much nicer houses and buildings. Their office was very flashy. Felt like the person from the ghetto seeing how the other side lives.
