Just make sure you pay appropriate wages. Plus penalty rates for weekends and night shift. We are unionised, you don’t want to get on the wrong side of the flock.
Pilk@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
All ravens will be generously compensated. The cafeteria will be replete with insects, nuts and chopped fruit (small mammals on Sundays) at no cost.

spent 20 minutes doing some tidying in the back garden and feel better for it
it’s just a small amount of work and the place is still a mess but it’s something
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
Interesting venue last night. Good sound, interesting back rooftop area with lotsa plants. Lotsa people which is odd for that music. Wasn’t expecting that.
Go to pay for a beer, first thing that comes up on the eftpos that you have to get past is choosing a tip.
Nope.

Been chatting to the cousin on messenger.
Mixed feelings. That side of the family were, let’s say, less than supportive after my mum passed away.
But he needs help, being in a country by yourself can be tricky.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
I wish you all the best of luck.
You are both so brave too. 😘
( do not recommend being in a country on your own. It’s pretty awful when you literally have no next of kin to put on forms 😔)
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
Cheers :)
Yeah it makes things harder. I don’t have a wife and kids to worry about so my experience will be different to his.
He’s in Sydney so I’m heading over in a few weeks. I haven’t been so it’ll be cool to see a new city.

Good morning. 😘

Took the kids to swimming then a pretty perfect trifecta after. In the industrial area where my work is a new playcentre opened in one if those identical warehouse blocks. The block up from that had a trading card place for the girlfriend to look at. And the block up from that has a cannoli and panini place we went to for lunch instead of shitty placecentre food.
Then we cam home and watched Ghostbusters, the kids’ latest obsession

GoFest so far. Shiny tynamo, magicarp, duskull, tropius, and 2 magmar. More troops a buffulant than keepable, to the mulcher with them. And I I can just find a B I shall have a full unown set.
Catfish@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
Hey @SpinMeAround@aussie.zone need a shiny buffalo? Got a spare, and I trinket’ed you 🖤
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
That would be amazing, thank you so much!! I got so excited when I saw the trinket that I screenshotted, eep!! So glad you got some brilliant wins, I went into Queensbridge Square and got squat (but could actually do the raids, so wooooo!!!), but just enjoyed seeing the different clothes and merch people were rocking. Made sure to take my Tokyo Station Pickachu with me!
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
i know one of those words, magicarp, I assume it’s about Pokemon 😊

Pretty impressed with the robot vacuum cleaner. It was making some noises I didn’t like so I flipped it over and took out a Q-tip and an elastic band in the brush head. It was still making sounds so I opened it up and found a little 3D printed articulated dog and a whole clothespeg lodged in there. These things can put away some junk
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
I really like mine, it gets under the beds and furniture well. Just have to use it often, clean it often, and sometimes use the big vacuum cleaner for the edges of the room
tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 weeks ago
I didn’t expect it to fix all our cleaning problems but it makes thing so much easier. It feels great to walk out of the bedroom after the kids go to sleep and the floor is clean.
And I was telling one of my kids how we still have to clean up before the vacuum cleaner runs so it doesn’t eat something that makes it sick

Spent today blobbing around and watching the clouds build up listening to an audiobook…I’m about half way through Clare North’s songs of Penelope which is basically what Penelope did while Odysseus was off doing the odyssey. Four out of five hobbits.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
Sounds interesting. I have two credits so I just might try it. 👍
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
Rain. I don’t mind. 😊
StudChud@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
Funnily, the in-built weather app thing on my pixel was pretty damn close with its rain timing. It said I should expect it at 7pm, and 10 past 7 is when it hit.
Not bad at all.
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
I’m excited to go to sleep listening to it!

A late night and early morning reading The Testaments by Margaret Atwood. I recently re-read The Handmaid’s Tale because I’d read it for uni decades ago and forgotten a lot of it, and was interested enough to read the sequel. Thoroughly enjoyed both books.
tone212_@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
Have you seen the TV series? As someone who hadn’t read the books, interested to know how it compares.
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
I’ve only seen bits of it, but it struck me as fairly intense and compelling. I read that Margaret Atwood herself liked the series, so that’s a pretty good endorsement.
Catfish@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
The first season is very close. I’ve not read Testaments, but the show goes off into its own world after then. I find the fact the handmaid never has a name a feature of the book that the show misses, though I understand why they changed that.

IDC what anyone says, I love Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
I wanted to play as Claptrap since playing the first game 10,000 years ago. This game gave me that dream.
He’s so annoying, I love him

Currently 5.5^o^ with a feels like of -1.1^o^ The wind keeps blowing open the dog door, I had to block it off. I don’t think Mr Woof wants to be out there anyway. 🥶

Solid dinner tonight, randomly ran into relatives we haven’t seen in over 10 years.
I teared up a bit. My kids met some cousins first time today. Straight away added each other on social media. Verdict so far is they’re chill.
Can’t ask for much more.

So was gonna throw another DT partay either on the 29th of Aug. or 5th of Sept. Won’t be a games thing (that’s cat’s job, not stealing that) just a simple get together for everyone if anyone is keen.
Everyone here and SO’s welcome.
Catfish@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
Calendar looks clear. And if you or anybody else wants to do games go right ahead, everybody has different stuff after all! No territorial pissing here.
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
Keen!
StudChud@aussie.zone 3 weeks ago
Should be good for that methinks :)
