There are some interesting YouTube videos about the history of PE. It really needs to be pulled from the shelves. I don’t know why it’s not considered basically a scam by the ACCC or whoever is in charge of that.

Hot days dry out fuel faster, preheat it and often bring strong winds (especially around cool changes). This is what makes hot days more dangerous than other days. It’s rare to self-ignite, it’s almost always lightning or human activity (arson, powerlines, machinery sparks, cigarettes, campfires etc.).

This is one of my personal and useless gripes with hold music selection.
We’re dealing with a narrowband medium designed for the natural range of human voice, why the fuck are they choosing high pitched string and woodwind instruments or “wide” orchestral pieces that only sound good if you can hear the bass?
Centrelink you’re probably the biggest culprit, this track is an absolute disaster over the phone.

It’s a symptom of the system as a whole not working well enough, not necessarily the clinic.
People don’t book long enough appointments due to cost because the rebate is too low, doctors need more than 15 minutes to properly document visits or fill out paperwork, good GPs will be proactive with things the patient didn’t come in for, people show up late, emergencies come up, etc. etc.
My GP charges the same gap fee no matter the length of the consultation, so I usually always book a double to hopefully at least give them a few minutes of their time back.

Picked up some of these earplugs recently and highly recommend them. A nuclear bomb could go off down the road and you’d die of radiation poisoning before you ever woke up. Great for tuning in to the harsh inner critic while travelling this holiday season, so if you ever want to be trapped in your head with only the voices to keep you company, pick yourself up a box.

I’m no longer working but my background is tech too, I think it’s because they have a “save this card for next time” so there’s a bit extra needed to for the payment gateway to let you charge cards. I suspect they’ve gone a bit beyond the basic requirements though…

The 2FA on the Oporto app is obscene. You’re logged out every time you launch it, need to enter a text message code to log back in, you get a text and email saying you logged in. Bro I was checking for cheap chicken strips and chips, not accessing the nuclear codes.

OK new scopes booked in on Monday. I am a glutton for punishment and ended up asking for a slightly more thorough cleaning procedure because I was a bit dubious about the results the first time, effectively doubling the amount of slop I have to drink. Merry Christmas to me!

Healthylife is Woolies (boo) but they sometimes have cheaper generics than even CW if you don’t mind waiting for shipping (which is free with at least one prescription item in your order). They have cheaper non-prescription items sometimes too, like electrolyte drink tablets and surgical wash.
