Oh no, had to hand in my PC to a repair tech this morning. Silently died overnight it seems, and I reached my limit of troubleshooting. I suspect PSU is tripping since I get a brief light up and then only baseline power.

I have just learnt it is the American version of the term, so naturally it doesn’t make sense. I was hoping it would help distinguish “general practitioner” (GP/family doctor) with “general physician” (medical specialist) which are commonly confused, even until recently by myself.

Any DT legends been referred to (or know of) a notably on-the-ball internal medicine specialist/general physician that practices privately? They seem kinda hard to find and don’t want to end up with a flop, given the price tag, so hoping to consider at least one or two options additional to the one my GP suggested.

Funny one, but realising I’m having a mutual break-up with my GP. He’s suggested someone else who seems OK but is a bit far away from me. Time to do some research I guess!

I would want a gastro specialist to really go through the risks for my specific circumstances before I signed up for it.
The reason it can be so powerful are the same that can make it risky – people have died from poop that contained bad infectious material that was not picked up in screening, but also it might result in a transplant of traits from donors (food preferences, susceptibility to mental health concerns, weight changes etc.). That said, I also have an illness for which I would try any reasonably achievable treatment, even if the possibility of cure was low, and I’d be willing to take on more risk.
I used to conceptualise FMT as a very broad spectrum pro-biotic, but probiotics typically just pass right on through. An FMT really is a total re-colonisation an important system we still barely understand.

Not sure what’s changed to have had three different spam callers today. Assuming tax-time scams though. Everyone else important would leave a message or send a text or email.

I think that’s why people invented the phrase “hard stop at 3”. It’s cringe corpo speak but most people get it.

I think this post is evidence of top-notch parenting. You’ve figure out you’re in a tricky moment, and have started putting in the work to navigate it, and you’ll be prepared whatever eventuality.
Did the pronouns revelation seem like a big deal to Miniest? There’s a good chance it felt like a bit of a “coming out” – and safety in your (conscious and subconscious) reaction will be closely being searched for. As long as Miniest knows nothing else changes, there’s still beds to be made and dinner to help prepare, you’ll be good.

Some people don’t seem to realise that their comments have a reply button underneath them for a reason, that critique or questioning is a valid form of participation in a discussion, and that there’s always the choice not to respond (or not even post in the first place) if they can’t handle it.

Watched the first speech last night of the new member for Melbourne, Sarah Witty. (From 5h40m41s)
It was a moving and notably principled speech, and I think she could be a source of much needed leftward pressure on federal Labor behind the scenes.

I’m not sure appalled is a proportionate emotion? Though it’s been a rough week for commuters.
I hope everyone will be choosing their waterproof mascara though, could be quite cold and wet.

I reckon you are thinking of a Zippo. You can buy them online but you probably want to gift it with a can of lighter fluid which you can only buy in person. Both are sold at smoke shops and often camping/outdoorsy shops.

I had photochromic lenses for a while. They change very slowly when it’s cold, nearly blinding you when you walk back inside on a cold day, and they do not get dark enough to be good at being sunglasses. Leaves you wondering what the point is.

No story spoilers, but here are some Death Stranding 2 thoughts:
spoiler
I wish most producers were given as much creative freedom as Kojima. There are a lot more weird and sellable games out there that never got made because big players in the industry are so risk averse. Very few game series have been such a weird fever dream and so deeply moving as the Death Stranding games. I can’t re-watch the final DS2 sequences without tearing up. So beautiful and sad.

Thoughts: The judge being so comprehensive with the jury instructions is actually intended to reduce a “jury misdirected” avenue for appeal. He’s not doing the defence’s job, he’s shoring up the verdict, especially if it is a guilty verdict.

Well El Jannah is open in the CBD. It has not been love at first taste for me… but I think I’ll do a little tour of the menu and hopefully find a favourite. Huge serving size though. My little insulated lunchbox did *not *cut it.
