Had a nap after my whinge (thank you for your kind words 💜💜), then went to Savers and got two shirts for partner’s new job, and two pairs of jeans for myself for under $50 in total.
Then got a massive haul of groceries from Aldi. I transferred $120 to my paying card but it only cost ~$50 all up for all of it. Stuck in the expensive Colesworth mind lol

I want to work, and yet no one gets back to me after my last round of applications.
I need a freakin job so I can afford driving lessons so I can actually get a job as an animal attendant. Oh, but I need 2 years experience to do basic sandwich making or retail ffs.

Sometimes I’d spank the patch a little during cravings, it’ll increase blood flow to the area (more nic absorbed) and it gives you something to do with your hands. The itch is normal.

You got this 💪 I know it was mentioned the other day but just to reiterate, leaving it on overnight can cause extra dreaming, lighter sleep. I would always take mine off before I slept but then nice cravings would come back if I didn’t fall asleep fast enough 😭

This possibly happened to maintain the balance of jam jar karma within the DT, as I had the good fortune to pick up a good (empty) jam jar from the food cupboard this morning, The universe added to my jam jar collection and took from yours.
This does not account for the jam, or the karmic effect incurred in cleaning up the mess. Which is a very high value as sticky jam plus glass splinters is major. Jam by itself - wipe it up. Glass by itself - sweep/vac & blutack. Both, however, is an existential crisis as the mess can neither be wiped nor swept. Even rubber gloves are not safe from the splinters. And don’t even mention the vacuum cleaner.
On the other hand, underwater magpies has incurred a major karmic benefit in cleaning it up. This far outweighs the serendipitous collection of a clean empty jar. I wonder how the universe will balance the scales.
I’m actually keen for an early night. Hang out with fluffball and read for a while.

The change of seasons has well and truly finally hit. Feeling a bit of a cold-ish headache from not adjusting to the temp difference properly and returning to a whole day of desktop work after ages… Gonna buy some soup, chug hot herbal tea, and have an early night. This will be my last long work week before I throw myself at uni hardcore.
I’ve been putting off getting my eyes checked for YEARS. I haven’t had an exam since I was in primary school. I’ve felt that I’ve needed glasses for a long time but haven’t wanted to pull the trigger because… Idk. There’s no going back once I officially know I need glasses or something? Anyway, I’m booked in for tomorrow morning, time to find out how cooked I am 🤓
The test/prescription is paid for by medicare, you don’t owe the company a purchase of a pair of glasses, they’ll try. If you’re only on a weak prescription, you can order a simple pair of spectacles on Zenni for very cheap.

So after saying this work laptop sucks, I could buy it off work for $100 because the SSD is starting to fail. Switch it out for a new one and it would be right as rain again. It might be heavy and power hungry, but a deal’s a deal

I think I’m going to do it. I’ve looked at the specs and similar laptops, plus what they must have gone for on the refurb market a couple of years ago. I could probably flip it on Marketplace and make a buck even after replacing the SSD

Got tired of my yt-algo so I looked up how to delete my history, pretty easy actually. Hopefully whatever it re-learns about me doesn’t send my down a pile of right wing kak. I’ll need to watch a bunch of lindybeige and philosophy tube to refocus it on my interests.
Basic I know, but search for stuff you’re interested in. I get Aviation and Naval history, Some Marvel, whatever is going on at DashCams Australia, British Panel shows/Taskmaster and maybe some Star Wars/Trek stuff mostly.
What you don’t click on matters as much as what you do. Oh, I always mark Shorts as “Not Interested”, even if I would actually be interested. I despise short-form videos and would disable them entirely if I could. I can kill them for 30 days at a time on my iPad.
Mine seems pretty easy to train. It didn’t take much for it to start serving me up Jon Stewart, Robert Reich, Jesse Welles, Fairburn Films, retro comedy like Fast Forward and The D Generation and random stuff like this

Vehicle finances are worked out and I have a short list of vehicles to look at on Wednesday. Hopefully number 1 on my list will be ok (and still available) and I don’t have to keep looking. I don’t really enjoy looking at cars. Don’t tell the salesmen, but I’ll probably pay more just so I can get it over and done with.
The one I am looking at is just out of warranty period and is sold through a Ford dealership that offers a three year mechanical warranty on the used cars. Would it make sense for me to skip the vehicle inspection in this case?
I’ve taken the next step in reducing Microsoft’s presence in my life: I’ve just notified my mother that I’m cancelling my subscription at the next renewal and she will be back on the free plan.
It is not much of a sacrifice as I still have full access to all the programs through both work and uni, but I won’t be paying them (which was primarily for my cloud storage). I might look at LibreOffice at some point, but the main thing I use is a complicated spreadsheet for my budget and it is highly likely something will break if I try it in a different program.

I seem to have been cursed by smoke detectors. There is some humour in this one seemly being able to read a calendar.
I tried a YT short recipie for dins tonight. Mostly for shits & giggles, but it worked. Chicken ‘fried’ in water. I used drumsticks cos cheeep so no weeping if I had to toss it. It was quite nice. Will do this again, but with the recommended wings. Sauce was gorgeous in texture but I should have used a tad bit more chili and less mustard. Worth trying.

The pumpkins have been hand pollinated and buds/leaves wiped down where necessary. There were a few more female flowers open so I hope I get some fruit.
I weighed the remaining foil pan down with a partial brick to prevent the wildlife water from tipping over but given my area I’m now wondering if that’s a good idea… one of the druggie fuckwits could impulsively throw that right through my window. It would be on camera so I could get them charged and have proof I wasn’t responsible for the damage but it’s still not a nice thought.
My stomach is so angry -_- Being stressed all the time just doesn’t help. Having another test today.

So a few months ago I stole an extreme;y expensive car from hard rubbish which I hoped would be a nice gift to bro and sil and their baby to be but it has gone back to hard rubbish 1 door down :(
