Doxxing capacity maximised… 👀 beautiful part of Melbourne to be in though that’s for sure.
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Now I’m getting images of a masked bandit digging up my clivias at 3am.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 month ago
wow , they are so beautiful . Your whole garden is beautiful. 😭
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Thanks :) Honestly the whole thing really took off when I put the watering system in (wasn’t even expensive). I am now a true believer that regular watering on a timer does wonders.

GP check up and blood test results said plenty of sunshine, a nice fat piece of steak, and steroid cream
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I do bloods every 6 months, and the August one always show I’m low in Vitamin D…which is probably 90% of Melbourne I assume
bacon@aussie.zone 1 month ago
my ferritin is 20 and my vitamin D is 28 🧛🏻

Probably having my final assessment for my new role today, to see if they’ll set me loose on the general public. Has been three weeks training so far. I am exhausted. I’ve been up since 2.30 tossing and turning stressing about it, picturing scenarios in my head etc. I’ll get other chances if I don’t pass but would be nice to rip the band aid off
imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 1 month ago
🤞🤞
Eagle@aussie.zone 1 month ago
May the band aid be not sticky anymore and come off with ease.
Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Dab of olive oil helps a band aid come off painlessly.
anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Good luck! 🤞🏼
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 1 month ago
So there’s three people in my team. The good one is leaving. Which leaves the one who is honestly like dealing with a child.
Ah well.
just_kitten@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Tonight’s mood booster is some peri peri mock-chicken strips bought on a whim yesterday. I shall throw a zucchini in there for helth, and half an onion, and… idk. Eat it with rice… cooked in broth! With cloves and cardamom! (I highly recommend the latter for really elevating even the simplest rice dish.)
Also just remembered I stress-bought frozen dumplings last night. I’m set for lunch tomorrow, woohoo!
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 1 month ago
cardamom
Any time people go heavy on cardamom I is always a fan.
just_kitten@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I use it in pasta dishes too. so good.
Catfish@aussie.zone 1 month ago
And don’t throw out the pods, so much flavour in those too.
just_kitten@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Haven’t had the heart to tell my supervisor at this job that I’m seriously mentally struggling atm. I’m off for a week from Friday night so I feel like I should see how I go with that before I go any further. I think I’m going to have to leave one of my jobs and cut down my overall hours to make this work, but it’s really bad timing in terms of workload…

ooh all looking healthy.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 month ago
They are. I try to keep a clean garden. :)
One thing that has happened tho is since I stopped feeding birds there has been an explosion of aphids, I stopped because my neighbour didn’t like the mess.
I’m going to feed them again.
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Love ya crucifix orchids, don’t see them about much.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 month ago
the little mauve ones are dendrobium kingii, a native of Sydney and the white are cymbidium
I do have crucifix orchids but they are not in flower yet, here they are from last year
spoiler
dumblederp@aussie.zone 1 month ago
My orange clivia’s are blooming for the first time this year. I grew them from seeds I collected.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 month ago
so cool and they are a unique flower, they have both red and yellow pigments to make the orange. 🙂
danwritesbooks@aussie.zone 1 month ago
So colourful
SituationCake@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Beautiful!
Alamutjones@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Noooo. Just generally

Seconded.

Benefit of a person with COVID at home is that I have been told to WFH all week.
Oh no…anyway
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 1 month ago
How’s the little one doing?
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 month ago
He’s fine. Spent most of the day gaming and chilling. Doses of panadol and nurofen kept the fever down. Coughs a bit, but okay.
And little is kind of misleading…he’s nearly 15 and 6 ft tall 😂
Alamutjones@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I don’t know what dinner is going to be, but it will be hearty and full of veggies. That description fits almost everything in my freezer
Duenan@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Pasta?
Duenan@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I pooped by Aldi to grab a loaf of bread and saw this.
Not an egg in sight. Is it really that bad right now?
useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I pooped in the woods a few times. They didn’t have eggs either.i lodged a complaint with manager.
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Well at least they have logs now.
Pilk@aussie.zone 1 month ago
No eggs at my Coles.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I think you meant popped. I hope you meant popped.
I get eggs from IGA. There’s always heaps.
just_kitten@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I buy mine from the local grocer, they’ve always got stock. Not the cheapest but not hideously expensive either
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 1 month ago
ahem eggspensive
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 month ago
yes, eggs were 11.50 at woolies, I didn’t get any. A chook to roast was 30, didn’t get one.
Alamutjones@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Home sweet home. I’m going to throw some laundry on and crack a bag of Doritos
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Spent a few hours last night on the couch in cosy pyjamas, under a soft blanket, ignoring the world and watching a new (to me) K Drama. Followed by one of the most solid sleeps I’ve had in a long, long time. Not feeling any better about being at work today, but at least it was a nice evening.
Alamutjones@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Good morning. It is time for me to get up. I don’t want to
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I call them weekdays
useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Christmas tree arrived. Woo.
underwatermagpies@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Somebody’s ready early!
useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 1 month ago
My checklist is extensive
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I love Christmas trees. 🙂🌲
tell us all about it, how tall, what colour, what type of tree 🌲🙂
useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Uh yeah, the theme this year is “Dark Matter” so had to get a fake tree this time because I need black. A 7 foot black Bavarian. Disco balls, laser light and so on will be involved. It’s a massive day for me.
This was last year: Image

'puter rebuild complete and I didn’t break anything and it turns on. Which brings us to the rave. Upon turning it on I honestly thought I’d be watching everything burn right in front of me
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I dragged myself into an Uber to the vet because they had stock… felt like I was gonna puke but bebe has her Fortiflora! She’s slurping it up right now.
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I took a short walk yesterday. Thankfully didn’t run into any of the local ferals, but am absolutely exhausted.
I saw the ginger ninja again but he was skittish and didn’t seem to remember me. :(
underwatermagpies@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I stepped outside for a few minutes to enjoy the lovely sunshine. I’m now considering surgical removal of my sinuses, possibly with a stanley knife.
Yay spring.
danwritesbooks@aussie.zone 1 month ago
One more assignment to do and that’s another 2 units down. I wanted to get it done this week but I have to wait for the results of my previous assignment which release on Monday to do it because I need to use the feedback I received.
It gives me one week to get it done. It’s only 800 words but I like having assignments done with time to spare…just in case so one week is giving me the twitches.
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I’m too tired to do art or tinker with electronics. 😔 Maybe I’ll just chuck some laundry on
Alamutjones@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Time for a cuppa and a mandarin
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Well, here’s an enigma. Rebuilding old man’s desktop and he wants all the connectivity at the front. I said well, you could turn it around but then how would you turn it on. He said well I’m sure office works has something. This is a man of science. Can’t win them all.
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Our hard rubbish has been collected this morning. Other suburbs in the same municipality get a rubbish week where everyone puts theirs out for collection, but for some reason in our suburb we have to book twice a year. I hate it, would much prefer a week where everyone does it. Last year someone came and dumped extra stuff on our pile, so the council tried to tell us that because it was over 2 cubic metres (or something) that counted as two collections 🙄😒

Grave of the Fireflies is on Netflix.
I don’t know if I can face complete emotional destruction on a Tuesday night
Catfish@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Phew, made it home before the porch pirates struck! They’d have been disappointed as it’s all cake decorating stuff, but I need neither the headache nor duplicate expense. Fuck I hope this party goes to plan.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 month ago
mm, nom nom, the taste of turps. I just finished cleaning all the old wax and polish off my old sewing machine drawers. I did it outside but still 😝
danwritesbooks@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I don’t think I’ve seen a more blatant example of main character syndrome than seeing real estate agents putting themselves into videos showing the house they’re selling.
And I don’t mean talking about the house. They’re in the video sitting on the couch or opening the door to enter with all this dramatic music playing, or staring out from the balcony all reflective and stuff.
Good lord.
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 1 month ago
They also wear shitty suits.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Their tailors hate them too
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 month ago
They know they add no actual value to the house, so they need validate themselves by adding perceived value.
danwritesbooks@aussie.zone 1 month ago
I’ll have to see if I can find it but I remember seeing one near my place where the person (not sure if agent or owner) was sitting in the bath tub, topless on the bed (facing away). Absolutely bizarre behaviour
Force_majeure123@aussie.zone 1 month ago
“Hey look how nice I dress and my expensive haircut and shoes! That’s how you know it’s a good idea to buy a house from me!”
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 month ago
“See this shiny German car I’m leasing for far more than I afford?..SEE IT?”
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 month ago
For some reason we don’t see those big signs with pics of the agents anymore. 🤷♀️
tombruzzo@aussie.zone 1 month ago
Well they have such vacuous personalities they’re perfect self insert protagonists
