    One actually supports the LGBTQ community, the other one is homophobic as fuck and member of Putin’s party. None is lesbian though, and just used the male fantasy to sell more albums.

    The loudest people criticizing queer people are always the ones who seem totally unsure of their own supposed straightness, or maybe the ones who consume the lesbian/gay porn. Seems like proving you arent gay requires screaming really loud.

      (This is not about anything in this thread that I’ve read specifically, just something I’ve experienced myself)

      It’s also really annoying when you point this out and someone comes to champion the good name of all the other queer folk, as if you meant to imply that a person’s queerness, rather than their internal powerstruggle to remain closeted, was the reason for whatever slight they’re performing against the community.

      It’s like, no, did you even read what was written? It’s such a weak argument and thought-terminating cliche, and it denies that part of the human condition is that one can try to suppress a part of themselves so ferociously that they externalize it onto everyone else.

      The lyrics are so much better in Russian. They are very tender and heartfelt and really do a good job showcasing what it’s like being a gay teenager in love.

    It’s gays everyone’s so concerned about. Lesbians were always the exception, for obvious reasons (fulfilling predominantly male fantasies of two sexy girls playing with each other, while not being off-putting to most women)

      I always thought that was such a boneheaded take for a straight man. You want to encourage the mangays and discourage the ladygays. Let the men knock eachother out of the dating pool and let simple supply and demand increase your value without you having to do a single sit-up.

      The men that have “concern” for the sexuality of others, for the most part, already don’t think women should have that choice to begin with, and are therefore unconcerned about Lesbians. (No need for prosecution or persecution, when you already think of them as objects)
