It’s pretty normal if you are being investigated by the police. It’s part of policing, is it not?

“Police recently issued a warning about hate crime following a demonstration outside a house in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow where windows were said to have been smashed.”
No. Fuck the nazi prick who stirs the shit and gets innocent people attacked because of the colour of their skin.

Do you know what? I’m starting to wonder if it might have been fucking better to try and stop it fucking happening in the first fucking place. Fuck.
- Comment on Climate Deniers Hold Conference As London Bakes in Extreme Heat 2 weeks ago:
I think the majority don’t care enough to actually do anything. Just mention eating less meat or using public transport a bit more, and most people lose their fucking minds at the thought. There are very few people actually willing to make any sort of effort to actually keep the world habitable.
- Comment on Climate Deniers Hold Conference As London Bakes in Extreme Heat 2 weeks ago:
I read things like this and I take comfort in the thought that the planet will be fine. We can’t knock it out of orbit or blast it into tiny bits. It will keep going. Life will be fine. It has survived worse extinction events before and bounced back. Humans are fucked, but reading this, I think we deserve it.

If you are using a VPN you are already putting your trust in the provider not to look at what you are doing. Logging in is the least of your worries if you don’t trust them.

Winner: UK flower seller. Losers: everyone else.
Not sure about the farmers - their statement was a word soup that said virtually nothing.

- Comment on Pubs Shut and Streets Close as Police 'Screen Attendees' for Oxford Union Tommy Robinson Debate 3 weeks ago:
Free speech doesn’t mean you have to provide a platform for racists. This does nothing but legitimise him and his racism. The Oxford Union should be ashamed of themselves.

“When human rights are under attack the role of the press should be to challenge those in power – not cheer them on.”
The British press is mostly just courtiers to the rich and powerful these days.
- Comment on Thames Water nationalisation moves closer as government ‘objects to rescue deal’ 3 weeks ago:
Presumably nationalise it, spend £££££ fixing it, sell it off again, new owners run it into the ground. Repeat.

- Comment on The social media policy ratchet 4 weeks ago:
Yes, it would be far better to take the actions presented here - removing lock-in, not allowing malignant algorithms, and splitting up monolithic social media companies. Those are all sensible suggestions that would have a real effect, but with Keir and his party fighting for his political life, it’s absolutely unthinkable that they would do anything other than sledgehammer pointless and ineffective - but headline-grabbing, tough guy regulations through. Nuance and reasoning can go fuck itself.
