There is a difference between reminiscence and comparison.

I don’t know. If anything the world has become a far harsher place than it was more than a decade ago, what with dictators doubling down, as whatever he divulged didn’t seem to stop those monsters.

At 3am, when there’s nobody around, and you’ve slowed down and can see for absolute certainty that’s it’s clear then yeah you could perhaps justifiably run the red light.
That’s why some traffic lights have to be set up for certain times of the day.

He was arguing that this is somehow indoctrination by the state to condition us to follow rules.
Has to be trauma of living in a police state.
- Comment on I still can't get over Skyrim. Are there any games that can replace it? 1 week ago:
Depends on what you actually want. If it’s the first-person RPG experience, there’s a handful such as Tainted Grail and Cyberpunk 2077. If it’s using a slightly different system, either the Witcher or BG3 or Expedition 33.
But modding… I cannot find any other RPG that gets better if it is modded, as Skyrim – and Morrowind and Oblivion – pretty much designed to be modded.

Misanthropy in a sticker. These are the handful who would like to have 12 Monkeys a reality, besides strongly supporting anti-natalism.

I’m disgusted with neo-Malthusianism and all of its forms. The more we read about the Indian and Chinese population controls, the more we become horrified about how those were conducted and who were pushing such programs.

That’s why they’re going to great lengths to remove or at least weaken government legislation limiting their acquisition to more wealth, while putting the screws on anyone below them.

Social media, however and in a way, acts so much like an MMO.

Why I quit MMOs and never looked back, because even more than 20 years ago toxic behavior was being normalized, and that included offline PK.
Fucking little assholes nearly killed a grandmother.

Dodged the crypto gold rush twice by managing to buy my GPUs before they happened. The last hard drive purchase was more than a year ago, a 2TB Seagate to replace a damaged one.
Now I think I’ll have to be more careful while I use my PC, because we’re back to 1995 pricing.

Nvidia is the worst and gamers keep going back.
It’s still the default, unfortunately, as those gamers vote by their money, and AMD drivers have been hit-or-miss and they’ll usually threaten for a refund and buy another green box.

Makes me think why between 1990 and 2005 felt like a great time for PC gaming, as the hardware then wasn’t demanding, and the games were great during their time despite being sprite-based.

In my country, most men I know of feel satisfied with their trimmed tools, just there is more emphasis on having the length and being potent on bed. Likewise, local anti-circumcision activists are also a very small minority.
But here in this largely Western-progressive dominated fora, male circumcision is met with very strong if not violent negative reaction.

Finished compsci but interned as a computer technician and there I thrived. Instead of constantly having to keep up to date on programming: subscribing to journals, attending seminars and conferences, networking with other programmers, and of course (re)studying shit to get certified.

Yeah, and one would get more gold by panning sand from a river somewhere in West Papua.
