the sheer volume
Picking through hundreds or even thousands of shots and choosing about a few dozen good ones is, yeah, equally difficult.

More specific, the target practice gets more wild at a pub.

The old is new again with same bastards in suits. Just like the 19th century railroad craze which had some hedging their money but then lost the investment game.

Once again, this demonstrates just how volatile and uncertain it is to be having game development as a career path.

Unsurprisingly a flaming asshole to anyone he fears and hates.
- Comment on Why does China have so many multi billionaires if they are aiming to be a communist country? 1 week ago:
Their own brand of capitalism is one tied to a penultimate patriotic goal, where all enterprises are convinced by the Party they are working to achieve supremacy by 2049 where by that time, the Mainland topples and humiliates what they see as American hegemony and exceptionalism, while expecting the rest of the world – including developing countries who are now tied to the Mainland through heavy imports – to acknowledge its being figuratively the Middle Kingdom.
This is the China that can say “no”, and a book that once vigorously supported the idea of destroying American hegemony through capitalism and was banned briefly, is now cashing in on the winnings.

People will well paying jobs and money for fun stuff are less likely to start a civil war
Depends on what part of Mainland China, as there’s glaring class struggle within. Of course, anyone says otherwise will have Xi quietly sending in riot police.

Pure disinformation.

What an ass statement fitting the appropriate snark reply: “Thanks, I’m fucking cured.”>

Seems you got downvoted because some are fanatical about cracking open a book, rather than going online.
- Comment on This bookstore wraps all books in plastic. 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, that bookstore is pretty upscale. Not unlike others where browsers are free to read almost anything.
Asides from the protection from humidity and dirt, I feel they also don’t want to sell a frayed damaged book or magazine – I feel that would count for them as a loss – unless the customer paid for it, so they put limits on casual browsing. Otherwise and in some places they put out a selection of open unwrapped publications and let anyone, provided they also pay for the coffee or hang around and pay by the hour, to read at their leisure in a dedicated cafe.
Yeah, only sure way for you to know a new book is to scope out the copy online if it has an ebook equivalent.
- Comment on This bookstore wraps all books in plastic. 2 weeks ago:
National could barely able to sell publications as by 2010s nearly everyone went to spend more time online – ebooks, social media, etc. – and even the browsers have disappeared as magazines started to end publication, so leaving the stationery business the only thing keeping it afloat.
Strangely, asides from Fully Booked and that small Japanese bookstore in an uppity part of Manila, the Big Bad Wolf book festival draws a large crowd of bookworms.

When it was increasingly clear to Christian extremists in the 70s there won’t be any forthcoming event at the end of the millennium, instead the bastards have to artificially force the second coming, so they created the scheme to destabilize the world.

but in the rest of the world I’m not sure how much gets recycled or not
Unfortunately some developing countries have problem with waste segregation and disposal, especially those with cultures where their packaging was then organic (paper bags, banana leaf wrappers, etc. for food) before being replaced by plastic-based packaging, so with little to no convenient places to dispose their trash properly, it ends up almost everywhere.

Ever since fucking Trump came to power, he basically defanged the agencies that were supposed to curb corporate abuses and enforce laws and regulations, and allowed corporations to do a lot more anything they want to make more profit.

Not surprised they’re large, mostly because the asset sizes are dictated by what screen resolution people play (yeah, 1440p fomo) and how big their monitors are (27" or bust), and how often they stream or make screenshots.
