Siena University poll showed that 30% of New York voters like the DSA and 47% don’t have a favorable view of them.
Meanwhile, 23% are unsure about how they feel about the movement.
Not quite the numbers the person thought

- Comment on Don't Call Me. Ever. 1 week ago:
These emergencies come up because the planners (the people I’m trying to urgently reach) haven’t planned properly. Everything is fine if the situation on the ground is the same as they think in the city office or the consulting firm, but once something unexpected comes up that hasn’t been accounted for, I need to reach certain people, quick. We could make decisions on our own but the that’s often specifically not allowed without consulting those certain people…
So plan better or be around to pick up the phone.
- Comment on Don't Call Me. Ever. 1 week ago:
For casual situations and non-urgent stuff I agree that there’s usually no need to insist on a call
- Comment on Don't Call Me. Ever. 1 week ago:
It’s potentially an issue for everyone if the work is delayed. Me, others working the site, people living there, the city if they don’t want the delay etc.
- Comment on Don't Call Me. Ever. 1 week ago:
It’s not a specific emergency phone operator position, rather just the relevant consultant or someone from the city. It’s their fuck up if they aren’t hiring someone who can actually handle the calls.
- Comment on Don't Call Me. Ever. 1 week ago:
I should’ve brought my laptop to the bottom of the dig and studied a whole ass different profession so someone who has actually studied and works to provide the info I need doesn’t have to answer the scary phone lol
- Comment on Don't Call Me. Ever. 1 week ago:
I need your immediate answer. If I knew you’d answer straight away to a message I’d be fine with that, but I can’t be waiting for the zoomer on the other end to muscle up courage to check my message and maybe answer it at some point
Tbh you have the same issue with people in general with emails.

Does that even leave any major countries??

And here I am, just sitting in the bus, waiting to get to work, while these two are shouting in foreign languages
I’ve genuinely been in that exact situation haha

What would you consider a major country?

Or just get it delivered and save even that “free labour”. I’m just gonna shop normally but use the self-checkout because it’s much much quicker
- Comment on They eliminated cashiers and keep the profits. NY Democrats are fighting back. 2 weeks ago:
Crying about “free labour” seems pretty silly in this case. You’re already going around the store picking your own shit, usually bagging it yourself, bringing it home yourself etc.
- Comment on No one could have seen this coming 2 weeks ago:
Anything is still more expensive than $0. If lowering the prices was more profitable to them than keeping the price but making sure stuff isn’t stolen, then they probably would’ve gone for that.

It’s the third most populous and fourth largest by area. First by far in nominal GDP etc.
Definitely a major country

I mean maximizing their profits by trying to prevent shoplifting. More shoplifting, stores will do more to prevent it.
- Comment on No one could have seen this coming 3 weeks ago:
*next store has the same locked cage because they too don’t want their $200 items stolen*
From the store’s pov shit being stolen is worse than it taking a bit longer to sell
- Comment on No one could have seen this coming 3 weeks ago:
Hah, who would’ve thought the stores would want to protect their merchandise from shoplifting. It sucks for everyone now
- Comment on Hell yeah. 3 weeks ago:
It’s not really homeless people that do that here, it’s more just generally addicts. Still sad and a poor situation for everyone.

I’ve been to some libraries where it’s for whatever reason full of people either drunk or high causing a ruckus. Then they sometimes fight, leave needles and stuff behind and yell at random people. The library has hired/asked the mall to get more security, but the library has already got a reputation and people have started avoiding it. It sucks, there’s very few nice, calm and quiet community places around.
The situation improved this summer since the drunk or high people spend more time outside but now the close by park has been dug up, so they’re back to the library.

To me putting it first feels funny. Euro 100, instead of 100 euros. While writing it you need to remember to put the symbol before writing the amount. Funny thing
