Lb-ft of torque? Wtf is wrong with people. How much Lod-Ell is that? Or Buddam-Girah?
Just tell me how much bananas per dishwasher if simple metric is too difficult.

They changed the name to xbus.
Not sure if that’s any better, but the design is actually more alike the old veteran VW busses than VW’s own electric bus. I dig it.

Got it, from bang bus to bang bus.

Bang *bussy.

they hoping for elon bucks?
bstix@feddit.dk 15 hours ago
Nah, it was a German company.
I think the issue was that their batteries were already outdated before it made it through the pre-order phase.

I’d argue that the id.Buzz actually existing makes more alike the old busses from the 50s and 60s.
bstix@feddit.dk 15 hours ago
I think it hits the right demography, but other than that the ID.Buzz is basically an SUV with a different exterior.
Modern safety regulations probably disallow the horizontal steering wheel from the original bus, but that’s definitely one of the things I miss in modern vans/busses.

It looks really cute tho.

The bussy wagon!

What’s really strange is it doesn’t have an exhaust port for a human-machine interface.

It looks like you could strap some solar, head out into the desert and pretend to be a mars rover.
This is actually sort of interesting.

Get in the bussy boys
RiceMunk@sopuli.xyz 16 hours ago
Yes, eBussy is clearly an offensive name for this.
We need to rename it to something that’s still whimsical, and fit for its function. I mean a bus like this is something that will probably take all my fellow techbros to their jobs. So maybe something like the “Brojobber”?

I always bring my ebussy when meeting my friends so all the eboys can ride and feel good about it (they’re all very environmentally conscious)
homes@piefed.world 16 hours ago
I would’ve bought it just for the name. That’s fucking hilarious.
MrFloppy@feddit.org 13 hours ago
Just as Artega tried to cut corners with Microlino, XBus (ex eBussy) attempted something similar with Tyn-E. It’s a good thing that Microlino and Tyn-E achieved their goals anyway.

All I see in general is dumb Ideas on the horizion anyways. Every new car is really a cell phone that can be hacked with potential security flaws that puts your life at risk. You pay way too much so data brokers can buy and sell your data at every avenue of our modern lives. I don’t even want a car but the poorly built infrastructure demands I do.

How come the name isn’t registered yet?
