There was one a few miles outside of town when I was in HS in WI in the early 80s (it was actually very much like That 70s Show). The entire back row of cars were high school kids. And a keg or two.

Bribery is still illegal. But it’s not a “bribe” unless it’s paid directly to the candidate in exchange for something specific (quid pro quo). So you just need to obfuscate that deal enough so that you can’t prove it’s a bribe, in the legal sense. (SuperPACs, etc).

I am 100% in favor of universal health care. But as a realist I also recognize there are millions of people who work in the health insurance industry who would become unemployed. So that is an issue that would need to be addressed as well. Because a massive increase in unemployment depresses wages for everyone.

No. If he dies before Aug 1 then a “special election” is held wherein Massie is likely to run, split the Republican vote, resulting in a Democrat taking the seat.
After Aug 1 the seat will just be filled in the regular election with a MAGA approved candidate in the R column.

I feel like it’s starting to grow in popularity in the US, but slowly.
Major League Rugby (MLR) was just formed about 7 years ago. The Chicago Hounds won the championship game a couple weeks ago to cap off a dominant, undefeated season. (1st men’s professional team in the US to go undefeated and win the championship since the 1972 Miami Dolphins)
National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) has been growing and organizing as more schools’ rugby programs move from a “club” sport to a varsity sport.
In my city the number of HS rugby teams is growing as well.
