Idgaf, Windows deserves every piece of hate that comes its way, especially the latest iteration that purposely hides features from you and constanty interrupts your workflow with useless popups

It’s not even an OS at this point as much as adware, spyware, and malware (ex. intentionally breaking multiboot) in a trench coat. To top it all off, it is just terrible for performance and reliability (on top of, you know, spying on you and likely making that “recall” screenshots available to governments to help them find dissidents).

I’m definitely in the minority, but I like windows 11 a lot. Its got a lot of great features that 10 didn’t have. And almost everything that people complain about in windows 11 is pretty easy to turn off or change.

        sounds like you lucked out.

from what I’ve seen, it’s completely random on a pc by pc basis if an update will re-enable some “feature” that the user manually disabled.

I think microsoft does this on purpose, so that some people can share their genuine good opinions while still ruining it for the majority of users.

I don’t read high school dramas or romances, usually, but I do sort of wonder what the source is. Always love a good betrayal or interpersonal strife.

Well I have bad news for you: that’s (probably) the original. However, it does seem that there’s this other one [WARNING, NSFW] with a panel that looks extremely similar which might’ve been the inspiration for this, but that’s just speculation on my behalf.

Me on Windows: can I play a game at 10 PM? - Nah, I’ve serious not-your-business shit to do, so enjoy your throttling animation

And that was years before “Ima going to screenshot whatever you are doing every 10 minutes or so, processes it on your computer and store. Safely store? Lol no”

So no, it was my first operating system, but modern windows is a pile of hostile crap

I use windows 11, and I can’t think of one annoyance that I wasn’t able to uninstall or turn off through settings or local group policy.

I did this once after installing it a year ago, and it has never bothered me since. Not even windows update gives me problems. I can think of one time in windows 10 that I had problems with an update, but this was years ago.
