There’s a difference between Clown World and calling people clowns (unless you do it a lot, we’ll come back to that)
The “Clown World” communities are all about racist dog whistles and bitching about “social degeneration.” I don’t think it needs to be explained how that’s fascist adjacent. If it does you need to be reading much more in depth explanations in because you’re starting from the basics.
And, just an fyi, this is all specifically Nazi messaging once you’ve stripped away all the layers. Clowns specifically are used as a dog whistle for Jews/“the Jewish agenda” by a certain type of terminally online antisemite.

When the system doesn’t require unpaid labor to get a paying job or further education.
(As a note guess what a lot of nursing programs require that are conspicuously absent from medical school requirements)

In a system that doesn’t require experience at these “unpaid internships” to get a paying job, sure.

Everything is contextual and interconnected, but it was Lysenkoism, only possible under authorianism, that broke the core structural principle of a central command economy.
Lysenkoism isn’t a reference to the actions of Lysenko, it refers to the entire system of failures that created it.
Lysenko’s politically derived pseudoscience that started with ideology instead of evidence combined with Stalinist/Maoist paranoia and conflation of scientific dissent with rebellion and threats to the state created the famines from what would have been shortages during the restructuring.
That is all (and more) described by the term.
- Comment on Hrmmmmm 3 days ago:
If you don’t want to understand why a system that forced workers and scientists to lie about production numbers or get shot caused famines during industrial centralization and was the absolute worst thing to have happening concurrently I can’t make you.
- Comment on Hrmmmmm 3 days ago:
Yes, eventually the industrialization of Soviet farming paid off despite his nonsense.
Doesn’t stop it from being the major cause of the interwar famines. As you can provably see when it spread to Mao’s newly formed Chinese state and, surprise, caused famines again when they didn’t have the sheer output of an industrialized agrarianian sector to make up for it.
- Comment on Hrmmmmm 3 days ago:
Funny, because it ended when he did.

Because capitalist authoritarians never try to use starvation as weapon.
- Comment on Hrmmmmm 3 days ago:
Lysenkoism was the cause of both the Soviet and Chinese famines, a grand tragedy only possible under an authoritarian fever dream.
Ignore the lessons of history if you want, it just makes you the villain of the next cycle.
