I adore how Zomboid is very grounded like that. It feels like it purposefully avoids giving the player a power fantasy. Or more accurately I’d say it tries to deceive the player by making them think they’re powerful but then rips it away by throwing something at them. It’s really addicting, I have to imagine it’s not for everyone though

MO: Astray sounds familiar. I wonder if I picked up a Bundle with it in it too. I’ll have to look into it though because 90% of my Humble library is unplayed

Basically, me and my friend work together though so generally he dies when I die. I’m always the main Defense and Engineering guy and he’s like the group Farmer

It was one of those things where I can tell there was a lot of love and care put into it, but I just personally couldn’t get into it. I have a copy of the Soundtrack from a friend though that they didn’t want for some reason so I can admit it’s really good

That’s basically what it was like, except with a generic suburban dad lol. We did it with 4 whole floors and somehow only ran out of Shotgun shells on the last floor

We’ll probably be scavenging Metal Sheets and Planks all day the next time we play. It’ll be worth it though for the most egregious base for 2 people ever

Zomboid is very much like that. You can kind of develop a 6th sense as too what buildings are dangerous with how the game loves to fuck the player over (in a good way). It’s a fun experience all around though

I tried the demo and couldn’t really get into Hades unfortunately. Though it probably had my lack of interest in Greek Mythology working against it. Maybe i’ll try picking it up again though, that was years ago and i’ve found my tastes have changed

I’ve really been interest in trying Claire Obscur: Expedition 33 lately. I’ve been holding off on reading anything about it to avoid spoilers though. I might look into Skald: Against the Black Priory. I’m very picky about my RPGs but generally story heavy ones i enjoy

Fair enough, i can appreciate being harmlessly pedantic lol. I appreciate the support though, thank you

I’d say yeah. It still holds up really well even after all this time. There is some product placement, but honestly, it’s not intrusive enough that I feel like it takes away from the experience. Honestly, in some respect, I think it adds too. The only issue I really noticed Was that in the non-remastered version, the cut scenes are video files and you can tell they were compressed

It’s been very nice seeing familiar faces like yours through the screenshots!
I’m absolute ass at names, so profile pictures are the only way I can really remember people. So between you, the Monster Hunter Slime Guy, and the guy with the Sonic Pride PFP it’s been very nice having some consistent faces. And I’m sure there’s others too that I just can’t remember the name of since they have generic profile picture. But I’m glad to have them there too. So basically I appreciate you too

It very much was a night of celebration. I went out and got pizza and played some more Halo 3 with friends before sleeping in. Very much though if I did end up streaming, I think it would be disconnected from these screenshots. It would be its own separate project because I’d like it to be able to stand on its own. I’d probably keep it disconnected entirely. Probably even its own account.

I’d say it’s more so that I play a game and I’ll see something that makes me go “wow that’s cool”. So I’ll take a screenshot to share with friends. And I’ve been doing this for years. And I only have like 20 screenshots for a game at the end of the day. And initial initially It just started me showing off the backlog.
But it kind of turned into doing new screenshots every day. And I’m a college student, who right now doesn’t have a job. So, I have a lot of free time.
I have considered doing a blog. Maybe not YouTube reviews. Very much for me this is more like “here’s a cool thing I like. I like this. here’s why” and I feel like reviews, while they have their own merit, kind of take away from that. Because some of the games that I have played, I think there’s no denying that they’re bad games. I still like them though.
Though now I’m typing that, I suppose offering my opinion on these games as in a way made me a sort of reviewer. So regardless of whether I want to or not, my words hold some weight

RPCS3 runs like a miracle if you have the specs. If you can I’d suggest it. I’m kind of contemplating setting it up myself just to play them again. Or maybe trying that PS4 emulator I’ve heard so much about.
Alternatively, I bought my PS3 used for around $60 on eBay. And this is one of the models that can be soft modded with CFW so if you’d like to acquire it with “alternative” methods it’s an option. But even then, I was able to get disc copies of the second and third games for around $10 apiece

It feels like as I get older time passes a lot faster. One day I’ll blink and I’m suddenly graduating with my Masters and have a job or something

I’m in the same boat with the Backlog lmao. I just keep buying things on sale. Just this recent steam sale i probably bought like another 10 games

It looks interesting. I’m a sucker for things that emulate desktops like that so I’m for sure going to pick it up with the next Steam sale

I’ve always wanted to stream. I like doing “public entertainment” things that let me entertain people and maybe help them when things are tough like others have for me.
I’ve very much come to learn though that perfection is the enemy of progress every time I’ve started

Do you have any suggestions? I’m embarrassed to admit it, and it definitely shows my age range but the last Indie game I really remember playing was Five Nights At Freddy’s and Doki Doki Literature Club. So I have a lot to catch up on

The best of isn’t necessarily a ranking, but I’d still certainly suggest uncharted 4. It’s an awesome experience
I’ve always taken a lot of screenshots to show friends. So much so I have a huge backlog of screenshots. Initially it started as just sharing the backlog but it turned into taking screenshots to share. I play with controller though so screenshots are usually just PlayStation Button + Right Trigger for me. I’m especially fond of games with Photo Modes though

I have a bit of programming experience (and it’s my major too) so I’m confident I can do it! I know though that I can ask the community and they’ll be able to help if I need it too

It’s good! There’s a remaster on Epic, but honestly played the original on Steam and it still holds up well. It goes on sale cheap every sale season too

Yeah. That’s something I prefer about these over streams or video. I think the streaming I mentioned would be something entirely disconnected and different from this. Plus I get it, I much prefer reading things over watching them, it’s easier for me to follow along

I wanted to do something laid back to mark the occasion. With the Best of section I wanted to just have a normal screenshot for the people that only look at the main ones

Thanks for looking out for me! I appreciate it. I try to regularly assess my life and how it’s going to see if I can reasonably continue. So rest assured i try to keep watch from letting this take a toll on my life

I did have Rocket League on PS4 before it went F2P. If my controller actually worked I’d be down to download it again. All my PS4 controllers seemed curse to suffer a horrible fate though

I’m going to sleep in late as a reward to myself lol. If tomorrow’s screenshot is something relaxing like Minecraft or Animal Crossing everyone will know why
