Ya boys got two dates (one maybe Saturday and the other Sunday) this weekend. Super excited for Sunday one as I like her but not too sure on Saturday 😊
We’re planning a garden visit followed by drinks at a board games cafe on Sunday!! Should I get flowers? What do I wear?!! I’m nervous now 😪
Force_majeure123@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I also have two dates this weekend. The 23nd and the 23rd 🙃

Daaaaaad!
TinyBreak@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Some unsolicited advice?
I’m nervous now 😪
Why? She likes you( or else she wouldnt have said yes). You like her. There is nothing to be nervous about. Dress up a little, remember your manners, bring a couple of good (or terrible) jokes or funny stories and you’re sorted.
fullkitwanker@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Thank you! I needed to hear this 😊
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Get them a board game.

A copy of Operation should give a great impression lol

Before I have a little nap I’d like to say Happy Cake Day Seagoon. Thanks for your dedication to the dt. 🎂

Happy Birthday!! 🎂

I’ve decided to turn off the alarm for tomorrow morning. Still going to bed shortly, but after this morning’s migraine, I’m going to sleep in a little.
Goodnight guys ❤️
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Goodnight homey. Have a good and restful night.

This has made me ravenous. I haven’t had anything today. Not even a drink of water.
I see pommes being a part of my weekend.

a big slice of home made olive bread and a cup of coffee

Half a bag of mini potato, 4 parsnip, an onion, an apple, a capsicum, 2 tomatoes, and a full garlic. There will not be dinner.

Indeed. I am an innovator.
Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Have just heaved a packet of sausages, some curry paste, a shittonne of vegetables and the last leftover can of the cider into the slow cooker. Dinner will be ready at 8 ish. Dunno what you’d call it - bangers & hash stew maybe? Melbourne coddle? Kept back some parsley & lemon zest & garlic for stirring through at the last minute.
The crisper drawer is now empty. Note to self - buy more grog.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Nah. That’s just curried sausages and extras.
Note to you - buy more grog.
Duenan@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Saving your post incase I ever dare to try the tiny slow cooker that was given to me but haven’t had the courage to use yet due to lack of experience.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Oh Duenan, the slow cooker is the best gadget ever in the kitchen. Whatever you cook on the stove, you can do in the slow cooker. Hmu when I’m sober. The slow cooker is my forte and I’m sure a lot of people here are the same.
Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Mine is only 5 litres. Two quarts in old money. It’s a very old (but still functional) original crockpot. I think I got in back in 1982 … has seen a lot of use since. My only complaint is that the crock part is not removable, so I have to be vigilant about washing it up so the electrics don’t get compromised. Modern ones are much easier to deal with - just put the insert in the dishwasher.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 year ago
This is a very traditional Aussie stew, real pioneer fare.
Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I suspect the pioneers would not have put in quite so many vegetables.
Force_majeure123@aussie.zone 1 year ago
It’s almost 8. I’m waiting
Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 1 year ago
There is ample for two, or three or more if I add some rice.
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Got up at 6 am fully refreshed. Logged into work stupid early and finished all my stuff by about 9 am.
Still logged in but playing video games on my PC.
I think this is a good Friday
StudChud@aussie.zone 1 year ago
What are you playing?
I’ve been playing the demo on steam of Tactical Breach Wizards. A turn based strategy game from the guy who did Heat Signature, where you play a few magical wizards uncovering a conspiracy, with assault wands. It’s to be released in August. I am actually a little hyped lol
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Dragon Age Inquisition actually. Got it for free, and it’s a nice time killer.
tombruzzo@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Shadow of the Erdtree?
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I tried Elden Ring when it came out and could not get into it at all. Gameplay was fine, but the lack of a story (a cohesive one that was explicit) ruined it for me.
I’m playing Dragon Age Inquisition. It was free on Epic games a while back and it’s pretty fun.

Defs got mild hypothermia slurpee brainfreeze after that sunset solstice swim. Worf it though:

Made it down the bellarine today.
Almost time for the sunset solstice cold swim!
Also lemon tree just refuses to settle down, picked so many a few weeks ago and it’s still going like mad poor thing is tilting:
just_kitten@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Oh man I would take so many lemons off you, craving a good homegrown lemon and honey drink.
Catfish@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I brew a mean chilli lemonade, if you’re donating…

Back in the day, before the Deer Park bypass was built, Ballarat road was a freaking nightmare to get on and off the Ring road.

Gym session this evening and had some young dude call me ‘sir’.
I was puzzled until my son informed me that the young bloke was probably scared of me.
Perhaps I should learn to smile more.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 year ago
grrr
Gibsonisafluffybutt@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Headache has subsided thankfully.
Annoyed that I went back to sleep this morning, but I’ll be continuing with 6am on the weekends as well.
Time for some video games and guitar.

I think I’ve caught one of the viruses going around, I’m starting to get a sore throat. Covid test was negative at least, so I can still count myself a member of the small “never had Covid” group. But if I’m part of the “feels like swallowing razor blades” group that someone went home from work with yesterday that will be little comfort.
TinyBreak@aussie.zone 1 year ago
If you THINK its covid chances are it probably is. If you cant even focus on video games it DEFFO is.
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I probably should take next week off work just to be sure.
Gibsonisafluffybutt@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Nasty headache. Fuck.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 year ago
so many hugs
and a cup of tea and a cookie
Gibsonisafluffybutt@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Thank you ❤️ it’s bed rest today. I think I went too hard at the gym yesterday.
TinyBreak@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Coughing and sneezing up so much snot still. Its been a week and a half, surely its gotta end soon!
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I had to dislodge some unsavouries from my nose holes this morning. Thankfully I’m on the mend because I’m going stir crazy being inside. Hope it’s not too much longer for you.
TinyBreak@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Honestly, I could deal with the nose. Its the coughing shit up that I’m thoroughly over!
StudChud@aussie.zone 1 year ago
unsavouries
We went over this yesterday; they’re a salty snack. Hence, they are in fact savoury.
Baku@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I was able to get a better sleep last night, but this bed situation is annoying me. I have a “double” bed, but it’s one of those fake double beds where it’s just 2 singles pushed together. Both bases are on wheels as well, and the wheels don’t have locks on them, so I have to keep pushing them back together as they get separated

Happy Friday cobbas. I got up on time this morning and decided to rug up and WALK to work at 7:45am - and feeling really proud of myself! It’s only 2kms and almost a straight line basically. Unsurprisingly, I feel a whole lot better than I would’ve today given the amount of work that’s turned up on my plate. I will definitely be doing it again, great way to roll some exercise into the day, like I used to before I had a licence and car.
Back home and had the energy to put together a kung pao chicken with mock meat. This weekend will involve a whole lot of Adult Responsibilities. I was gonna catch up with a friend to break it up but they’ve got the 'vid so I wonder what else I could do instead (that doesnt involve a screen) so I don’t feel like the weekend is all work and no fun.

Wow, wild day… Drove past a servo and saw a ton of smoke. Called 000 and chucked a U turn and then the smoke was all gone. Decided to hop on the FRV radio, and apparently it was caused by a diesel generator for a pressure washer and was more or less just a puff of smoke

New mouse day. Logitech G502 Hero. Seems okay, hope it lasts longer than the Razer’s I’ve been using the last few years. I’m heavy handed, I feel I’m heavy everything, I wear stuff out.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Just gonna have a couple of quiet ones tonight. I’m charging the mic just in case an impromptu song wants to burst out of me.
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Temperatures outside have just risen to be slightly warmer than inside my fridge. I will definitely be rugging up for the morning dog walk.
Gibsonisafluffybutt@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Managed to wake up, but feel really sick. Back to bed for an hour or so. Still a success

My aunt and uncle have been clearing out some old alcohol they weren’t gonna drink.
There’s buttscotch schnapps, vodka, two bottles of Jaegermeister (one with shit glasses), and some gin (which I have turned into a gin and tonic with cucumber).
Oh, and Kahlua, Sambuca, and Galliano. And my other aunt got me a lovely exxy bottle of wine with glasses as well.
I don’t think I’ll need to buy alcohol for a long while.

I love singing this song and changing the words to make it sound creepy.

I am woman who will for your honour. I’ll be the hero you’re dreaming of.
Makes even better with sound effects on the mic.

Had the first couples counseling the other day. It was interesting. Forced to be diplomatic for lack of a better word we were articulating points that sort of surprised each other I think. The therapist also had me figured out in no time at all “Shit childhood, yeah?” “yep” “Parents didnt love each other?” “Nup”. Guess I’m not the first she’s seen.
Gibsonisafluffybutt@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Good on you for giving it a go man. I think it takes a lot of courage for a couple to seek help to address their issues.
