Home :) was on less than an hour of sleep so it was quite bewildering to see my dog in the flesh as opposed to a 2D static image

Imagine its 4am
You wake up to the wardrobe door slooooowly opening.
You just woke up from a dream so you’re fucking panicking because what the fuck is going on.
Then the cat walks out of the wardrobe

So Gibson is the new queen of Narnia? Cool.
Catfish@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Does she bring Turkish Delight?
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Due to budget cuts your cat is also your sleep paralysis demon
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Once a queen of Narnia always a queen of Narnia.

Ted Report.
Ted has lost 1.25 kg in the past year, which is excellent. Vet was very happy.
But he was so stressed he couldn’t get vaccinated. So he has some sedative to take and will get vaccinated next week.
poor little guy
and Miss Seagoon found out his full name is Theodore, he’s not just Ted.

Resident magpie used the birdbath finally 🐦⬛ -> 💦 -> 👏.
Stood there, watched me fill it up, something clicked, jumped in.
SituationCake@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Might be the smell of fresh water or the splashing sounds that triggered it. But now that it knows, you’ll have a regular visitor! I have a couple of magpies that visit my bird bath. One of them only ever drinks, the other one likes to get in and splash around. Only worry I have is the water heats up a lot on hot days, so I try to go change it out in the afternoons if it’s a hot day.

Good morning. I’m pleased to wake and find the effects of the muscle relaxants have finally worn off. What a shit 24hrs. Headache, grogginess and nausea.
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Those things are either make you feel like floating on air, or like the worst hangover.
Glad you’re on the mend.
SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 2 months ago
My head’s on the mend, I’m still struggling with random muscle cramping whenever I get chilly which is still super shit.
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. I think I’m going to be forced to learn how to rest properly…
Alamutjones@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I’ve just had the most luxurious shower.
Taleya@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Trying the FREE LEMONS thing again since I found out they’re apparently selling for 2 bucks a pop. Refilled the container three times so far.
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Investing in mint and lemons 📈

I have mentally checked out from work, and yet I persist to be logged on.
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Melbcat has started rubbing her nose and been placed in the cone of shame. Nooo
tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Oh no, someone who went to the Stop Making Sense show left their vinyl slip mat on their train seat when they got up. Is it worth handing into lost property at the station when it opens? How would you even let someone know to ask?

Already planning Australia Day. Think I’ll celebrate with a pint of VB (not my usual tipple) and a read of The Lucky Country.
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I’m going to celebrate by finishing off a night shift at 7am, sleeping as much as I can, then going back in the evening to start another shift at 7pm.

The concert last night was fucking incredible. No wonder people rave about his concerts. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Amazing.

I’ve just typed the word “investment” wrongly three times in a row. I need a holiday. If I end up typing ‘super fund’ incorrectly, it’s time for a medical certificate.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Is there a mint shortage? Fresh is hardly there and I’ve been looking for dried in between marjoram and mixed herbs for yonks now. If there is a shortage then shit is dire.
SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I just planted some spearmint hoping to grow it for tea. In a pot with a base so it doesn’t root. hehe root.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 months ago
My friend grows all my herbs for me cos I’ve used up all my growing power growing a human. I cbf going around there this weekend. I wanna spend the weekend with my husband doing what you find amusing. 😉
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Indian or Asian supermarkets and spice shops have it in 100 g bags
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Yeah that’s where I’m gonna have to go.
Taleya@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Go to Europa and get like half a kilo
SituationCake@aussie.zone 2 months ago
My local Coles had fresh mint in the sleeves a few days ago. If you can substitute with peppermint ( stronger flavour?) then maybe pour out the content of a couple of peppermint tea bags, or loose leaf peppermint tea?
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Nah I don’t think it would work. I like using the dried for salad dressing, crumbed lamb cutlets, cucumber soup etc. It’s handy to have in the cupboard. The fresh I use in cold drinks and in salads.
Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 2 months ago
First I’ve heard of it. Piedmonte’s still has it in little plastic containers. Don’t recommend Psarakos as their herbs are always a bit tired.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I’m stumped why there’s no dried mint at my coles or aldi. I need to start looking elsewhere.
Alamutjones@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Can it be the weekend now, please?
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Today is look after Ted Cat day.
He’s already tried to bite a few times today. He really does not like being touched.
Taleya@aussie.zone 2 months ago
sending bags of freeze dried crocodile.

Poor little man. Zylkene helps calm Melbcat (but it’s so expensive now it’s a special occasion thing like for long drives)
Eagle@aussie.zone 2 months ago

Yup!
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Darkness was one of the funnest concerts I’ve been to
they are also good musicians
👍👍👍
Catfish@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Totally! You need to understand a genre to send it up so well. Just not great timing and stupid brain things.
tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I know how that feels. I’ve decided to just lock more shows in and people can work around me
