Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 year ago

Goodnight all. Got a 7am start, which means I’ve got to get up at… counts on fingers early. Starting early because finishing early to take Miniest to a meeting at what will hopefully be her (and our) secondary school of choice. Sweet dreams 😗

Good luck tomorrow!

Interesting new clothing shop(?) just opened in Bridge Rd Richmond. Called Infinite Apparel. It’s sort of a subscription service for clothes. You pay a monthly subscription, and choose clothes from their racks - number of items depends on subscription size - eg $50 per month for 5 items and 1 pair of either shoes or sunglasses. At end of month you drop off or mail back the clothes and pick out new items to take home. They clean them thoroughly and put those items back on the racks for other users. Sort of a circular shared wardrobe.
Clothing quality is very high - natural fibres, well made and in perfect condition. The current stock is clearly skewed to the young adult male - say 20s to 30s who want to look stylish and wear a variety of quality clothing at a cheap price. Most of it is smart casual/casual. I reckon they’re targeting office workers with very little closet space and who haven’t the space/time/inclination/skills to do maintenance on quality clothing. Colour range is about half office-uniform neutrals, and about half brightly coloured.
If you’re a standard size this might actually be a way to dress nicely at a predictable price without getting bored with your current wardrobe. Plus the laundry service of course. Short term business visitors to the city might also find it useful.
I hope they do well.

omg
this reminds me of a pawn shop
TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 1 year ago
The bloke I spoke with in the shop didn’t mention anything like that.

Site: PULLS THE FUCKING POWER Me: …Please don’t do that you will damage the unit Site: Well you don’t have to be RUDE about it I don’t CARE for the tone of your EMAIL
It’s been half an hour since I asked them to confirm it’s fixed, I can literally see the cunts using it but they won’t reply
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 1 year ago
How rude
Rebreak it and leave
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I’ve just had a bunch of request for access to files…which is fine, but there’s a process. Same people who are requesting access, cannot be bothered replying to my emails that are part of the process.
Guaranteed I’ll be getting messages tomorrow on how they still can’t access documents.
Absolute fucking tools.

YESSS I have an excuse to leave the office today and will happen to be going right near the Japanese supermarket I’ve been so so so so keen to visit!
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 year ago
ooo, what are you going to get?
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I’m not sure yet, I haven’t been able to get into it before so I’m very excited to see what they have!
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 year ago

I’ve got a sore gum. I think it was from a very hard sausage roll crust. I’m salt watering, nurofening, bonjelaing and tomorrow I’ll numb the cunt with booze.
SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Got any cloves or clove oil? It can be numbing.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I’ve got cloves. What do I do with it?
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Yep. No one gave 2 shits about the presentation. At least it’s over till next month.
LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Got 10 people from BFF interested in some kind of craft night, so hopefully that means I can get a couple of people to actually meet in person! I am not getting my hopes up too high though.
TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 1 year ago
A craft night sounds fun. That sounds like a great way to meet people.

I had the opportunity to see Ozzy and his band play live in the 90’s. He was very energetic and sounded great. Other bands that played were System of a Down, Rob Zombie, Black Label Society, P.O.D, and Deftones. Many others I can’t remember. It was a great day and at least I got to see him play.

If anyone needs an alarm clock that isn’t their phone, please take my dog.
Seeing as I was the only one in the house this morning as my parents start work at 7, the dog did his whole bark and growl thing, and started walking on me. 😍

Captains log 634:
I wish I was at home but I need to give a pointless 10 Min presentation to people that don’t remotely care about the topic.
Lame.

guys at broadbents bemused and somehow suspicious I would be unable to drag 60kg of paving sand down a hill on a trolley. Why, I have no idea. I am not a small woman. I’m built like a fucking mack truck.
sand now in back yard waiting pavings.

Japanese supermarket adventures update: I was toooo keen and went before any of the fresh sushi or hot food was available, but there was still cute things to check out. They had beautiful plates and bowls! Came out with furikake (thank you for the suggestion, Kitten!), miso soup, my favourite Pretz sticks. Already planning on going back when I’m on leave so I can try their sushi.

Finally got my bike fixed after two weeks without. Looking forward to a commute where I’m not stuck behind a string of cars the whole way.
But first, coffee on the couch and then a chilly dog walk.

Joined a gym and omg the amount of technology there. I think I’ll actually go.

At long last, I finally got my results for the Cursed Paper of Doom and managed to scrape through an H1 despite a shambles of a presentation - keeping my final score for this dragged-out degree to a low H1. Woohoo!!!
