A random cat is in my back yard and the local birds are all panicking. Rather unusual coat pattern.

The first time a friend said she had a âtwo facedâ cat freaked me out.
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Give the kitty a pat!

What a stunner!

My daughter helped a relo out with his banking because he freaked out a bit. She says to me âMum, he doesnât know how banking works but he knows how to get on Tinderâ. I couldnât stop laughing. đ

âNo Money, No Vaginaâ

Very nsfw language, likely triggering for anyone uncomfortable with methâd up sexual frustration.

I was chatting to someone the other day and they go âiâm no good with computers!â and I was like âhuh. looks like you got an iphone there champâ and they go âoh yeah I can use an iphone just fineâ. Ok so its not that your no good with computers its that you dont want to be.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
The thing with computers is if you donât use them all the time then you forgot how to do shit.
I can show you how to do a crochet stitch and a week later ask you to do it again and youâd probably fail. Repetition is whatâs needed to remember stuff.
Catfish@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Eh, there are levels. Once upon an Mac+ iâd play with ResEdit. Not touching whatever the equivalent is now, too big a jump.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
well, banking is made to be difficult so you donât lose your money
merchant banking is made to be as easy possible so you will spend your money

The batch of hot sauce I reluctantly made abt this time last year didnât survive the move - developed an undeniable layer of grey vicious mould. I will learn next timeâŠ

Wore heels for the first time in many forevers yesterday. Now have a confused mix of toes that ache and ones I canât feel properly. Hope this isnât cause for actual concern.
Wake was a very fine send off indeed. Donât think the cafe staff knew what hit them.
RustyRaven@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
I wore stupidly high heels to my wedding many years ago and could not feel a couple of my toes for weeks. Feeling eventually returned and I still have all my toes, so I guess that means itâs ok?
Catfish@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
These probably donât even count as heels to many. Iâve never been a spike person, but being out of practice on even such low things seems to matter now.
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Donât you love when you have a banh mi place that every time you get one youâre just, like, âthis is the best banh mi Iâve ever hadâ? Also love when youâre eating a banh mi and you get that moment when youâre staring down a chilli thinking it wonât be so bad but also know itâs going to punch your mouth up in the most delicious of ways?
Iâm a happy girl.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Yes but lately Iâve been making my own. That way I can put as much coriander and crackle as I like without asking.
My latest (made with roast pork. Not belly)
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
put as much coriander
Yuss!
Donât listen to the people with the genetic coriander soap thing itâs their loss.
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
That looks absolutely delicious!! And yes, excellent points about being able to do your own unhinged ratios with no judgement.
Duenan@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Iâve never had one of these before.
Apparently thereâs a place in Bentleigh that seems to review well that makes these.
tombruzzo@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Thereâs a banh mi place near work thatâs good. Iâve only ever had the tofu version, but I should swing by in the morning and have the breakfast banh mi because even the tofu tastes great
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
This sounds like an excellent idea, enjoy your breakky banh mi!!
LowExperience2368@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
I wasnât going to buy my lunch tomorrow, but banh mi đ„Čđ„Č
TinyBreak@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Cheers for the advice on the second hand backpack. Got a bellroy classic in near new nick for 85 bucks, normally 220. No shame in jumping in at that price point.
dumblederp@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Second hand, the carbon cost has already been paid by the original purchaser.
tombruzzo@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
With the RRP of those Bellorys they should be good. Look after it and it should last a long time
TinyBreak@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
yeah your deffo paying for a brand. Iâve got mates with them and they love them. but these are also mates who love B&O products when Iâm just running around with a pair of cheapo bose and an old base iphone.
I like nice stuff, but Iâm not paying for NICE stuff if you know what I mean.
just_kitten@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Noooooo. Was meant to dump my bags by the door and head back out to buy groceries but somehow managed to lock myself out even though this unit door doesnât actually self-lock⊠actually idk how it worked because normally you can only lock it from the inside after the door is shut, and you can only lock it from the outside with a keyâŠ
Anyway, thank fuck my friend who lives down the road and has my spare keys is on his way back from a site out east, and crucially, has NOT yet left for a 4 day work trip to Halls Gap.
Sitting in the shopping centre across the road staying warm and enjoying supermarket dolmades. Itâs tempting to buy a bag of chips but I really have a protein craving more than anything else.
Duenan@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Hey Kitten.
Hope youâre ok.
Did you manage to get back into your unit?
just_kitten@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Yeah my friend rocked up half an hour ago thank goodness. It turns out it is possible to lock the door from the inside and then close it :|
Will be making extra copies of keys to put under doormat and in officeâŠ

boss yeah Iâm gonna send ya a couple servers to configure. me: aight.
boss: I need them done by tomorrow
me: doable, but youâre building an 8tb stripe, that alone is gonna take about five hours jsyk.
boss: also I have just realised you go on leave next week so I want everything possible done right now. Even things that can wait. Even things that arenât anywhere near being implemented.
boss: I am going to send you every email under the conceivable fucking sun and demand you answer them instead of building my servers.
boss: Iâm also gonna let a client scream at you about something I did
boss: and Iâm gonna ask you if youâve done something that I explicitly said Iâd do three weeks ago
boss: and then Iâm gonna send you another couple servers.
boss: I want these ready to ship to client tomorrow.TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago

Then went to the plant nursery. Ouch, and did not buy the life size cheetah statue.

The cats are booked in the resort for Easter Holiday. The rates are unholy over this time period.

finally got my black puffer

Decided to clean out the bottom shelf of the pantry - we rarely use it.
Guess where the little flies were coming from đđ never leaving tea in there ever, EVER AGAIN.
Cleaned out now and sprayed in there, and wiped down the front so the cat doesnât get sick.
Iâm HORRIFIED, everything has been chucked.
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
The last paragraph đ
StudChud@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
I just had to add that disclaimer, I do NOT live in filth! đ
anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
One time there was this awful smell in the kitchen that I just couldnât find the source of. Searched everywhere, cleaned everything, still stinky. Thought maybe a rat had died under floor it was so bad. It turned out to be a rotten potato at the back of the potato rack. Looked fine on top but was mush underneath. The smell was unholy, and it took months to get the residual smell out of the cupboard.
Taleya@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
christ I love it when customers try and throw their dick around âRaaar none of our other suppliers needed this dataâ like they fucking know what theyâre doing.
You donât sound big mate. You sound like an absolute cock who has no idea what the fuck heâs talking about. Sit the fuck down.
Duenan@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Thought I was having a good day till I discovered my id tag fell out of the holder on a lanyard.
I might have to foot the bill to replace it :(
Seagoon_@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
I am starting to feel a little overwhelmed regarding unpacking and setting up
just so much stuff to organise
so I watched tv.
a real weepy too but I loved every minute of the show
melbaboutown@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Thereâs no hurry. As long as everything is safely out of the old place and you have the essentials itâs fine to take it slow and settle in
TinyBreak@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
One of my new favorite cooking techniques is to brown the chicken thigh first before slow cooking (as discovered doing the apricot chicken a few weeks back). Trying it with Japanese curry tonight. Recipe I read said 6 hours on low, but you wouldnât do the apple/potato/carrot that long would you? I was thinking 3-4 hours max.
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Back at work after having most of last week off due to family. Spent my time getting ready considering what I could cut back on/do differently in order to reduce life costs if I just happened to trip and quit, issa a vibe!
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Good morning all!
Force_majeure123@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Woohoo I love early work shifts. Heading home at four instead of 730 feels like Iâm getting out of prison years before Iâm supposed to
melbaboutown@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Iâm still so fricking nauseous đ€ą Surely after 4 days Iâd feel better.
Melbcat is sooky too so I should probably get her checked out again.
The pumpkins are getting chunkier and more yellow. The golden nuggets are probably going to die before setting anything - the smallest slowest plant probably will. But Iâm hoping that even if not ripe enough to eat, the jack be littles might at least get big enough for a nice photo piled in a dish.
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Little vid from yesterday from the pt. lonsdale lighthouse overlooking the pier / Rip. Shitty phone cam so excuse that (can mute it itâs just wind / white noise). But it was wild.
I went on the pier and a biggish wave hit, made a fair few people freak out lol. Pier moved pretty violently so most of us got out of there pretty quickly.
On the way back surfers were rushing in with a smile on their faces a day after 18 ppl got swept out. Different breed.
melbaboutown@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Printer has ink, everything sorted, still being massively obstructive. I guess HP stands for Hot (steaming) Poop
melbaboutown@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Why does everything pile up so fast?
Paid for the iron infusion over the phone. Telehealth. Trying to line up an appointment with another dental specialist. Will finish wrapping soap so the stuff is ready to go. Then I need to print and fill out a form for something else.
Then I will have to do a tiny bit on the twin peaks. Mount Washmore and Mount Dishmore.
Melbcat is acting fussy still so I tried to sort a vet appointment out but times and days have changed and I forget whoâs available to help when⊠I really should have addressed this earlier today but Iâm not my best. Still queasy with a splitting headache.
Iâve given her a quarter dose in food to top her up until tonightâs dose and will either sort an appointment or try to get a urine sample tomorrow.

Iâve been thinking about the concept of âCoworker musicâ ever since I watched a video on it. The idea is generic or bad music that coworkers listen to, never yourself of course.
Iâll have music on at work and ask myself, âCould this be considered coworker music?â I have a specific taste in music so I donât think it falls into generic coworker music, but when you get into subcategories of âa type of guyâ my music definitely falls into a âtype of coworkerâ subgenre.
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Definitely getting more used to the early wake up.
Have a great day everyone :)

Got the phone back! I tried it this morning and it was on the move through Heidelberg. I thought itâs obviously still on the bus! I tracked it through the suburbs until it was near my place and went out to the bus stop, caught that bus and found it wedged down between the seat and the wall! It was so exciting! Hey, Iâm a middle aged mum, itâs the most exciting thing Iâve done all year! The bus driver was kind enough to wait at the stop for me to search for it as well. Wonder how often they clean the buses thoâŠ
