Hey bottom_racer, I recommend a routine of accutane, warm compresses and reducing carbs in your diet. Xoxo
It looks like a melon from that angle. A melon thatâs gone off
My neighbour is the best. Dropped in to say hi and got fed roast, wine and now cheese⌠đĽ°
I have no idea how to be that type of person, but it sounds like a nice type of person to be.
been a good day so far
back is greatly improved and Iâm sleeping better
went out with froze brain, happened to buy a book and instead of just sitting there at bus stop looking like this as I often do, I was able to read a book
also planted another punnet of lettuces seedlings, some parsley, coriander and chives when I got home
coriander
Ooh bold.
Tempted to try as well soon, itâll bolt but whatevs.
Found this to be a decent guide.
this is my second crop of coriander this season, I already ate up the first :)
Iâm tired. Woke up a few times to clean during the night.
Tired too.
Up at 5:30am yesterday to go to work.
Home at midnight because concert, didnât get to sleep until nearly 1.
Up again at 5:30am this morning.
I think the real reason though is that Iâm just getting too old for this shit and donât spring back like I used to đ
Come on Friday, come on!!!
Made it down the Bellarine to fix some watering problems. Chillos have had a week off water but theyâre not looking too bad:
This is sort of the âdonât have to worry too muchâ stage thankfully.
Two schools of thought for spacing. Some say they like to âhold handsâ so plant them close, others say the opposite. This year theyâre holding hands.
I always plant two chilies in the same place. Seems to work out.
IIRC a lack of water over a short period can promote stronger root growth in chillies so the week off may have benefited you against windy weather. Those are looking gorgeous!
Nice irrigation system btw! I need to build/install mine this weekend, but with Sunday being 30° and Monday being 40° itâs going to end up into late next week isnât it?
Iâm on the space side of the debate btw, so please let me know if this approach works better for you this season. Reason for my stance is that it gives them more room to grow and establish a root system that is more sturdily overwintered.
Also this season I found out that if you have 2+ seeds germinate in one jiffy pellet and you just yank the younger sprouting one with force ignoring any root care and place it in a second jiffy pellet that they donât care about their roots that early and, go on to thrive with no delay / lag in growth. Makes me wish Iâd had never culled all but one multiple germinations in one cell.
I need to build/install mine this weekend
Ooh nice. I definitely found chillies enjoy routine water.
Iâm usually on the space side of the debate too so weâll see what happens heh.
You could try the universal lure - sardines!
đđđ
Is that feral?
Yeah theyâre strays but very young.
I see you.
I need to organise a water dispenser of some sort
I did some tech support at an aged care facility today as a bit of a side hustle. It would be an alright bit of extra money if I can make it a regular thing.
I only worked with one person though, trying to get the IMAP configuration working for her ensuing on her phone. Unfortunately I didnât get it set up during the session so Iâll need to look into it more
Today I am especially sleepy and especially cranky.
Have a networking lunch today. Need to turn my grumpy, donât talk to me attitude to personable and approachable. Not sure itâs gonna happen.
Slap that happy mask on, you got this!! đđ
It took almost 2 hours to build the couch. Fuckin IKEA man. Dryer manâs said heâd be here by 2:15, but I believe those of you also in Victoria, the ACT or NSW may notice it is currently not that. I canât go until he delivers, and I have a rowdy parcel man to satisfy
All things considered, building a couch in two hours is pretty good.
Maybe
It sucks, but! itâs a valuable life lesson and learning experience so try and take it in your stride! Iâll send you an Uber Eats voucher if you DM you email addy so you can get some free food as a reward.
The whole moving process truly sucks (Iâve moved 7 times in the past decade alone and started that decade with owning nothing in the beautiful country).
Aw thanks indi, thatâs very kind! Honestly though I was so exhausted I ended up just going straight to bed for a few hours after getting back. Had some pastizzis and bulla ice cream. Lifeâs good
I love assembling furniture. Itâs a nice little problem solving exercise and satisfying when done.
Mate next time Iâm just gonna drop it around to yours and let you deal with it đ
A big part of IKEAâs business model is people undervaluing their own time. Their furniture is cheap, but thatâs because thereâs no cost for the labour to putit together.
I get for some people they have no choice and need to go with whatâs most accessible, but thatâs why I try avoid IKEA
Look I donât super mind it. Most furniture is all flat pack now, and if it saves a few bob it might be worth it. Iâm a bit disappointed though, itâs not the most comfy
Lunch is over, so now I feel like Iâm allowed to get properly excited about dinner â Korean food, heck yes!! Iâm amused by myself in that Iâm watching KDramas, eating Tteok-bokki and drinking soju, but going to Japan at the end of the yearâŚ
Speaking of travel, I hope CEO has an easy and safe flight over to NZ today!
I yawned and pulled a muscle in my neck. oowwie
Ha. I beat my alarm by 5 minutes but it wasnât good enough. 7 missed calls (do not disturb does a really good job), and apparently my couch has already been delivered. Hope nobody steals it
I donât envy you as I remember what thatâs like and quickly learning that if the window for large items says 6am-9am that youâll always be the first (maybe only) delivery of the day for them so be at the new place for 5:30am ready for the inevitably early 5:45am delivery.
Also with the couch, donât they normally put all that together for you when they deliver and have you missed out on that service (Iâve never had to put together a couch myself)?
Iâm not sure. I got my couch from IKEA, which I think means they donât assemble shit
I am trying to figure out how I turn 3 big boxes, a small box, and a roll into a couch though. Iâm shit at following flatpack instructions
Wonât be open right now but Galaxy Bookshop is a must if you are an SF type, and there is usually something free at the State Library. Dixon St for dinner!
Totally second Galaxy bookshop! Amazing place. Has good anime too.
Sounds like a very cool day indeed. đ
TMI wound warning⌠a bit of pus with black bits of debris came out of my finger. Hopefully that means it has managed to expel any remaining bits and there is nothing else in there and my finger can heal properly now.
Get some maggots in there to eat the dead flesh lol
I donât think there is any dead flesh, the problem is way too much living flesh, all of it involved in a fight for ownershiop over my finger. The white blood cells have home ground advantage, but the interloper bacteria have lots of sneaky tactics to use, and itâs only the pitch invasion by the antibiotic team thatâs keeping the advantage for the home team.
Magnoplasm is good for pulling all of that out. Itâs meant for splinters and whitlows but I often use it for infected cuts with or without antibiotic treatment
Made it to the new house. I should do some cleaning and such, but too tired. Iâm probably gonna take a nap on the floor ngl
Trying to set up some .gov shit and my phone is too old for the new app.
Will have to get a new one. Thatâs some bullshit right there.
I miss homing pigeons and smoke signals :(
And quill pens âŚ
I feel your rage. Still havenât set up the new phone I bought due to the 3g/4g thing because Iâm sour about the whole thing (and still havenât received the case I ordered on ebay)
Sending in Medicare claims via carrier pigeons, getting Centrelink payments via cheque on horse and cart - the good old days
Trying to set up some .gov shit and my phone is too old for the new app.
How old is your phone?
Itâs an old iphone that can only get up to iOS 12. Need 13 :(
rough nights sleep and stomachs not SUPER impressed so can only have a small coffee. Bummer.
Thank you Baku for posting the thread today đ
âĽď¸
Thanks goonsy
I am knackered and almost dozed off while waiting for midnight to hit. I probably wouldâve asked someone else to do the DT, but the washing machine finished at 11:49 and I needed to transfer the stuff to the dryer for today, so it wouldnât have made much different. Gotta be up at 8 sharp. I think in 24 hours I can go commence a long sleep with a bonus sleep in
Anyone else collect your catâs whiskers and store them in a container? I have a little tin I keep Mickeyâs whiskers in. I almost considered keeping his claw sheds, but thatâs a bit too far; canât turn those into a weird brush đ
I now have until Friday off due to my finger. Iâm now not sure if itâs getting better or not. If itâs still the same on Friday I get to go back for an ultrasound. Hopefully it gets better by then, I want my weekend penalties.
I thought I should get my ibuprofen tabs and paracetamol tabs to line up but nope, ibuprofen is in rows of 6 and the paracetamol is in rows of 5
Happy holidays to those of you who are heading away, or already away!
And happy international mountain day to everyone else!
I finally got the case delivered for my new phone!! Just a day before I was going to report it undelivered. Phone finally out of box and charging. I sure as fuck donât feel like setting it up tonight though. Never have i felt so meh about a new phone. Next two days gonna be full on as well. Probably leave it to Saturday.
Just feeling a bit overwhelmed with the next two days and the weekend, and work commitments next weekâŚ
Iâve decided next weekend is going to be sacrosanct - no socialising, no big chores, no big decisions- just (a) sorting out what to make for Xmas and making it, and (b) packing for my trip to NSW between xmas and 4/1. Still need to work 23 and 24 but Iâll keep them strictly low-key.
January better be fucking easier!!!
had to stop myself from singing during the team meeting âon the 1st day of christmas my true love gave to me, A Post Incident Review due to a supposed low risk-er during the change freezeeeeeeeeeeeâ
I have never watched a trailer that made me want to see a film more lol

trying on some new shorts in the change room, walk in close the blind pull my pants down and just stare at myself in the mirror for like a good 5 seconds thinking âsomething isnt rightâŚâ takes me that long to realize its cause Iâm just standing there with my dick out cause Iâve stupidly removed my briefs as well! I came back to my office and tried to use apple pay to access the lifts rather than my lanyard, another 5-10 second delay as I grapple with âwhy did this not work the way I expectedâ.
Jesus, dont let me touch anything important today my brain is cooked.

Go home. Go bed. Reboot.
I spent a few minutes trying to pay for shoes with my Library card once. Happens to the best of us.

Last week I grabbed my work swipe card as i walked up to the door of my house, and started moving it toward an imaginary card reader where one would normally be on a work door.
I do not have electronic locks at home.
Also, I havenât needed to use a physical pass to open the doors at work for over a year, when they moved to a new system.
Brains are stupid.

Those days are the days you tell your team âIâm going to accidentally cause more harm than good today, itâs best I clock off early. See you tomorrowâ.

I know Iâm not the only one who read this as âcock offâ.

have definitely tried to pay for good in Kmart - with my myki.

When I was in NSW I was holding my myki to the opal reader trying to figure out why it wasnât working
