There was a Pope Mobile in one of them, which means that there was a Car Jesus.

There was a planes spinoff where one of the characters is a helldiver plane, and has literal flash backs to being in WW2,

The second movie is all about spies, which means there was a Cold War, and if there was a Cold War, there was a Russia, and if there was a Russia, there was a Stalin and a Lenin, which means there were communists, and eventually a Red Scare and a McCarthy, which means there was a nuclear scare and, naturally, nuclear weapons.
The Porsche girl character, I can’t remember her name because I’m 40, had one of those lower-back tattoos, which opens up a whole other series of “which means” implications that I absolutely do not want to get into.
This rabbit hole goes much deeper than Pixar intended.

I haven’t seen Cars 2 but why would “spies” imply the Cold War?

This guy also seems to think that tramp stamps have some sort of magical powers?

Reminder that Cars is a pro-eugenics franchise, and probably would have depicted the smashing of “lemon” cars as a heroic act.
I wonder how the nonexistence of horses in the Umamusume franchise affected war, and how Hitler viewed the horse girls.

No it doesnt. Fictional worlds with a basis or reference to real worlds, are not required to be 1 to 1.
Dont get me wrong ya made me giggle a lil bit.

Yeah they may have made those jeeps for a war against Car Soviet Union instead.
I can easily understand why cars would be opposed to Car Stalin.
EnchiladaRaisins@lemmy.zip 3 weeks ago
Car Soviet Union would just be endless Ladas.

When cars go to the grocery store in the cars universe do they park and wait outside or do they “drive” into the grocery store?
If they do drive into the store, do things like parking lots exist, and what are they used for if they do?
lime@feddit.nu 3 weeks ago
i’m assuming the cars universe equivalent of grocery stores are gas stations.

So as they’re contemplating the existence of a Cars Jesus, I find myself what kind of car Jesus was. There were no motor vehicles in that time so was Jesus a cart? Were Jesus and his vehicular disciples pulled around by ox or were they self propelled? Were the Roman soldiers chariots? And the cross - how does that work, I mean logistically? Which of Cart Jesus’s appendages would be appropriate to nail to a board in order to bring about death? And I’m not even at the point where I dare speculate on what Cars God is even like.

They put the nails through his front tires
