Until the last decade or so, anime based on manga would run mostly weekly while trying not to overtake their source material. If the anime got too close to where the manga was, they’d do filler arcs/episodes or just stretch the material out.
On some occasions, the anime would just do something completely different from the manga. Fullmetal Alchemist is a good example. The first anime more or less matched the manga until around the Laboratory Five arc. At that point, the anime went in a completely different direction so it wouldn’t have to go on hiatus or do filler.

Whoever made that could have easily done it with basic photo editing skills instead of AI. Even if it didn’t turn out great, it would still show that a person cared enough to try doing it themselves.

A couple months ago, my dishwasher stopped working. When the tech showed up to look at it, he said it may need a software update. He then unscrewed the toe plate, plugged a wifi hotspot into the newly revealed network jack, and let the update happen.
I was shocked, and a little alarmed, that my dishwasher even had software to update. Its entire control panel is six buttons, some status LEDs and an LED timer.

My mother once bypasses the refrigerator part and accidentally put leftovers in the cupboard over the oven. After a week or two, the smell had us thinking something crawled into the oven vent from outside and died. It took me noticing something bubbling up from between two casserole dishes to realize what happened.
