Some modern country is also great! Tyler Childers has multiple songs about fucking around and being a cokehead in Kentucky (he’s thankfully clean now). Then there’s his Country Squire album that’s very fun to watch videos from while stoned. It’s like some southern Yellow Submarine.
Zach Bryan released an anti ICE song that I can’t currently remember the title of for the life of me.
If you want more folk, Haunted Windchimes, The Ghost of Paul Revere, and Poor Man’s Poison are all excellent, with Poor Man’s Poison just straight up having multiple leftist as fuck songs. More mainstream you’d find Noah Kahan, who’s done some excellent music. It’s more pop folk than normal folk, but I’m still a fan personally.
Basically, just avoid artists like that whiny little bitch boy Morgan Wallen or basically any of the mainstream musicians from the 80s to the 2000s and you can find some actually good shit.
Also, both are mainstream, but Travis Tritt’s Trouble and John Michael Montgomery’s Sold are both absolute bangers.

Meanwhile we have busses that don’t always go anywhere close to everyone’s houses (or if they do, they may take multiple hours to get there after dropping off a hundred other kids), almost non-existent sidewalks in most suburbs, dumbasses who don’t watch for people on bikes, and a court system that’s regularly faulted the person on the bike for getting hit.
Greatest country!

A ton of employers also have a tree branch up their ass about drug testing. Even for legal drugs and for positions that it doesn’t matter.
My last job was mostly staffed by middle class suburban women, and down here every other one of them is on something illegal, from weed to their child’s Ativan to heroin. Well, they randomly drug tested our office one day, saying anyone who was positive was fired. Out of the 8 people in my office, 6 of us were positive for something, including me, and I know one of them was a false negative considering that I’d recently purchased a brownie from them.
Anyways, they just conveniently forgot about their new drug policy after that. No one got fired for it. From the rumors I heard, the district manager was going to go through with firing everyone, but someone from corporate reminded him that we were already understaffed by 5 people, and that firing 6 out of 8 people would mean closing the office entirely.

It may not consume more resources, but the older models were already consuming way too many resources to pump out their bullshit machines

That’s just slices of bread. It’s not a sandwich unless there’s something between the slices of bread!

Yeah, I didn’t say it made sense, but I know at least a half dozen builders that abide by that. They don’t do it even remotely this bad, usually just one tile out of place somewhere
You’ll actually see it a lot in places that were built to be Mexican restaurants
- Comment on open world chess 9 months ago:
What the absolute fuck were the tile layers thinking there? Jfc.
I wonder if it’s somewhere that’s heavily Christian. I know some builders that always leave a small “mistake” in patterns cause “only Jesus is perfect”

Good to know! Also, couple questions I’d you don’t mind -
How’s the Internet down there? What’s the overall opinion/ government policy on trans people? Lastly, how’s the tech job market (if you know)?
- Comment on Full Circle 10 months ago:
I did say formerly. The first president of the current party was a guerilla fighter.
Do you mean the military leadership of the 80s was backed by Nixon or the group that overthrew them?
- Comment on Full Circle 10 months ago:
A quick scan of Wikipedia shows there’s an actual left wing party currently in power that was formerly led by a guerilla fighter during the military occupation of the country in the 80s
As well they legalized abortions in 2012 and weed and same sex marriage in 2013
It’s got a 3 branch government similar to America
Economy seems stable, Internet seems good.
Guess it’s time to start learning Portuguese or Spanish!

Ah, that’s right.
The horizon devs really need to get together with From Soft so that’ll stop happening

Oh yeah, I forgot just how bad the timing of both releases were. Didn’t the second games dlc also drop right around Shadow of the Erdtree?

I do wanna point out that one of the Horizon games (I believe the second) got pretty screwed by releasing within a week of Elden Ring and didn’t suck. Publishers big and small do need to be careful to not release within a time frame of absolutely massive releases such as Elden Ring and, inevitably, GTA6.
Even if the game doesn’t let you play on release day, I’m willing to bet my kidney that it’ll sell millions of copies and nothing big will be released within a month of it

I’d imagine the numbers of dead people eventually get cycled around to. 9 digits only gives you 999,999,999 people to go through, and we have over a third of that in existence right now.
