Mantises. I love those things. We like to find them in the garden and sometimes pick them up and let them crawl all over us.

As a person from a sensible country without praying mantis running freely around outside in nature, this has very much changed my opinion on them!

Truly they’re not scary in person. They’re very gentle when they crawl on you. They’re very good at camouflaging in bushes, so it’s a fun activity to look for them.

I’d be at the oddball table with the roly poly, millipede & dragonfly…

Dragonflies are likely to be with the mantids at the “we will rip your head off if we like you, you don’t want to know what we do to our enemies” table.

I imagine dragonflies as the “enforcer nerd”; they hang with the weird kids as both companions and security.

As far away from the moths as possible. Too chaotic and irrational for me.

I’m already sitting with the bees

Sweet girl kisses, and hope I stay on their good side. Plus they kinda look like flying sports bikes.

i don’t think one table is going to be enough for the beetles

    Where’s the wasp table!?

In the Control Center, making sure to nuke them from space. I know these are all statistically not aggressive, but I just can’t shake the instinctive impulse to eradicate them…

Bees or moth, chance of dying is significantly smaller compare to the rest of the group.

Mantids. I just think they’re neat!

Fuck, that’s a hard choice. I’m either sitting with moth gang or spider gang, but the bees are a great choice too.

  • FatVegan@leminal.space ⁨1⁩ ⁨month⁩ ago

    Spider gang, no doubt

    • Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de ⁨4⁩ ⁨weeks⁩ ago

But next to the jumping spiders, they’re the only ones who can hold a good conversation and maintain proper directed eye contact.

Bees, beetles and moths are fine (wasps are much less so btw), and spiders catch flies and mosquitoes, so yes them too.

No spood lovers in here?! I could watch those Darth Maul lookin’ mofos all day long.

Also love the joros ‘cause they eat that which I despise the most: the brown marmorated stink bug.

With the mantids and wondering where the phasmids are.
