Yeah, i guess successful people tend to be out of touch. People don’t buy EA simply for the promise, people buy EA because of what they’re able to play now and the potential it has, the current behaviour is basically people done getting scammed by dev that abandoned game, and there’s shit tons of EA games being abandoned. Pocketpair also ditch Craftopia in favour of Palworld, and now only decided to finish it. If Palworld doesn’t give them fuck you money you bet they will also ditch Craftopia and Palworld and move on to newer and shinier project.
- Comment on Hideo Kojima's PHYSINT Game Moves to Xbox From PlayStation 2 days ago:
That is true, i have my suspicion as well when two big publisher (konami and now sony) ditch him so suddenly, but then Sony isn’t someone that’s unfamiliar with huge and long investment and losing money. I bet they know they can’t earn that sort of money without combining PS and Steam sales, since they basically stop their games from being published on elsewhere. With Kojima wanting to work with A lister, maybe someone in sony feels like it isn’t worth their investment, since they hate money so much.

Damn, progression these day aren’t from upping their collaborate, it’s to wait for your competitor kicking their own balls. So weird that Sony will evict a golden goose.

- Comment on Do analog triggers matter all that much? (In general and aside from racing games) 6 days ago:
I don’t think i ever played a game that provided such option, but then again i don’t play racing game much and i don’t play fps with controller, so that elimitate most of the use case.
The only time i use it is with steam option to program half press and full press, so i can use my pc desktop with a controller and browse with it, half press to mouse wheel up/down, full press to page up/down so i can get varied scrolling.

I will never get how Nvidia got THAT popular amongst gamers
It was the only gfx card maker that doesn’t sucks, and the only real competitor is AMD and they kinda sucked. Games made back then are mostly optimised for nvidia. And then they have shadowplay which capture footage from x second/minute ago with a press of a button, which popularised sharing funny clips. AMD only get better like a few years ago, then Intel enter the race. Today Nvidia doesn’t really offer much advantage for most people because of the price. If chinese gfx card maker catch up, Nvidia will probably have to pivot to AI company to survive.

Have you tried booting it with Armada and play some heavier game on it? I was looking for handheld and all those nvidia/lenovo/steam are extremely unaffordable (more than double the price!), so a bit of search and people kept recommending this one with Armada installed, so i’m curious on whether this is a viable way of doing it or if gamenative is enough, given there’s 12gb ram available.
Also keep up the good work, i actually started to look into handheld from your post.

Idk, the first time i play i like everything up until Novigrad, somehow the game grind to a stop and i have to slog through it and get to Skellige. I’ll have to play another time for the DLC and see if my opinion change or not.
- Comment on The Unspoken Reality of Having a Good Job at 31 in China | Damon Teng 2 weeks ago:
Because it wasn’t communism in the first place, because communism won’t work in a vacuum. Xi Jin Ping know they would have more leverage if they run in capitalism with some socialism law in place, so they let business/corporate run wild and reeling in if they go too far. That’s exactly same as USA but with more teeth. People who tell you China is communist is either a bunch of tankie that trying to lie to you, or the communism in this case simply mean authoritarian.

It does sound the same to me as a non-native speaker, but if i can spell it right and understand the difference, you can too. Because there’s tougher language out there, like chinese, that you can say the exact same sounding word but mean different thing. As a chinese myself, that’s how i learn the important of getting the word right.

- Comment on Chef 3 weeks ago:
Recipe IS suggestion. If you look at 10 recipe, all have some slight variations of ratio. You can get cookies that required 2 eggs while some suggest 1 egg and a yolk, some 1 egg, some required oil, others only need soft butter, while some suggest melted butter. A slight variation of ingredient won’t really kill the baked goods, it’s usually the process of making it and the temp we baked on, because we all use different machine and different supplier of ingredients to make our stuff. You need to understand why stuff works, that’s the most important part of baking.
If one does not look at the recipe and then throw it out the window and not measure stuff, it usually won’t goes horribly wrong.
