They put up with that condition because there’s no alternative at the time. Until gig work like uber and food delivery came along, which people realise paid more than those other dead end job does, so they flock to these jobs. Now the dead end job that pay minimum wages aren’t competitive enough, and can’t hire anyone, hence the saying.
Not saying gig work is good in the long run, but to people who have literally no other choice, it’s a godsend, a chance to earn more for the effort and time they put in.

I’m pretty sure the police gonna tackle someone running down the street but alas, he’s just there to deploy spike for the escaping Nissan driving at 20kmph.

But with a buttload of cops ready to make arrest and also spike trap, so it’s really just 3 stars for the rest of the world but 1 star for US.

Oookay this looks…bland. I swear they can show something better like with cool gadget and stuff but this is just walk and sneak, like basically other open world AAA games. Imagine back when Monster Hunter World got announced they show us the opening instead of the first hunt 💀

Me too, i watched many people playing it, read many opinion on it, it doesn’t sounds good at all on paper, and the screenshot doesn’t looks appealing at all. In fact i do remember i hate it at first and i give it a chance because of Kojima, and then it clicked, it became my favorite game of all time.

I think my fondness of it come from my love of hiking? Idk, it’s so so hard to explain to people why i like it, it’s not about discovering something but more on soaking in the environment and atmosphere. Idk, love that game, but i do know why people dislike it haha

Statistically yeah, who rolled first get the advantage, when you played like 100 round of it, then add up all the data and get the average, the first one to roll will on average ahead of everyone, but…we’re playing one game, the first one to roll will sometime roll low and the last to roll might roll double and get ahead, this is why i don’t think statistic really matter here because the amount of roll one game have is statistically insignificant to get the desired result. “The house always win” did not mean the house win every round, it just mean if the game goes for 100 round the house will come out on top statistically, and that applies here.

I have no idea why you’re being downvoted for a post asking about personal opinion, and you’re simply stating your personal opinion non-toxically.
As for GTA, i can see how it doesn’t appeal to people, there’s a video dissecting GTA franchise and it kinda open my eye a bit, not sure if your complain is the same or not but a lot of people do dislike the franchise for multiple reason, the mission structure being one.

What funny about DS is when it launched, the reception is basically 50/50 and very black and white, either you absolutely love it or you absolutely hate it, no in-between.
As for me who loved it, i just love the journey and the challenge of going from point A to point B, it scratched the itch of the open world game where exploration is the main course instead of side dish.

Technically you do that as well, but the no-purchase first round make sure it is as random as possible because you roll multiples time and the dice change hand. Kinda like a warm up round as you’re now racing to get to the end of first round and get to draw chance and chest.
You can also don’t do that, it’s up to you.
- Comment on The house always wins 1 week ago:
They prevent purchase for 1 lap just so it will truly randomise who get to make the purchase first, instead of just giving it to the people who goes first.
- Comment on The house always wins 1 week ago:
I remember my friend told me the rule of purchasing property is that once you landed in a property no one owned, you either buy it or be auction off to other player, and then the game end when every property are being purchased, so each player objective is basically get as much property as possible, negotiating with other players for their property so you can own a row of land for upgrading. The game become a slog when people just don’t get property, don’t negotiate, and playing it safe.
It’s like when playing DOTA and two team decided to just farm critter for gold instead of attempting to reach the objective respectively. It’s called Monopoly, not Money Hoardy

I’m native, but i also have nephews and nieces that dislike the smell at first but once tasted it are fine with it, so assuming their perspective aligned with people who doesn’t grow up with it.
Another example i can give is smelly tofu, i don’t grow up with it, never had it, never know how it smell, but when i’m in college i moved to city with people selling it, i hated the smell whenever i went to that particular night market because it smell like sewage, but once i tasted it, it’s like a whole new perspective. I now crave it once in a while, and will recognise the smell as something distinct.
On the other end, i actually hate petai/stink bean despite growing up in a family that had it very often back then. I just can’t take the smell. So i feels like, unlike cilantro, it’s something you have to overcome both the smell and texture, and if you don’t like it you don’t like it.

- Comment on Durian supremacy 2 weeks ago:
I grow up with durian, kinda depend on how well your tastebud like to be challenged, because it’s not stink like smelly drain(that award goes to stinky tofu). Once you overcome the smell and the mushy texture it’s full of unique flavour depend on the variant. It’s probably the most unique fruit coming from south east asia, and SEA have a tons of unique fruits.

That’s a bit silly thing to say tbh. There’s nothing special about NV that can’t be recreated without source code.
