How did the shawarma guy know? Did the other guy not notice? How did they not chase further? How did the shawarma guy not get arrested? I have so many questions

I don’t know because I can’t parce what’s happening in the video very well. But in the background Russia has been forcing conscription of they own people since it started. Dudes ran, had to he arrested. Since this little project is happening so far away from Moscow, Russia’s been relying on secondary kinds of manpower like one time mercenaries or now conscription of Ukrainians when they can.
You probably just get used to seeing them try it. Word gets around. You start noticing when lone dudes get mobbed because that’s who they’re looking for

Wait, let me get this straight. You think the conscription officers in this video are Russians?

Good that he run away. So when would Russia stop their invasion?
IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Russia will stop when you go to Ukraine to fight them. Sign up for the volunteer foreign legion now.
Or should only Ukrainian men be forced to risk their lives?

Lol, what type of fucking logic is that… Ukraine is being invaded by russia. It’s citizens are needed to defend itself, when countries are invaded. The citizens step up to defend their home. Foreign citizens are providing weapons and money to help as much as possible (more should be done).
You sound like a russian shill…

Well I guess. That’s kinda the reality if you have no military alliances and the point of a national army?

You’re right, they should hire North Korean to fight for them, like Russia did. Maybe work on the coal mine while they’re at it.

I don’t get it? Why does the Ukrainian man entering a Shawarma store save him from forced conscription? I’m not familiar with the term Shawarma nor with the system of forced conscription in wherever that is.

Shawarma is a type of food. Owner let dude in to (presumably) run out the back while he held back tge consciptipn guys

They used to call it “Heldenklau” in Germany, in the final days of WWII.

Nobody should be forced to die for a war they had no hand in creating.
