Well there was the time that Gotham got kicked out of America during the Lex Luthor presidency.

There is, variously:
- Multiple Lazarus pits that are likely leaking into the water supply.
- The other magic resurrection place, Slaughter Swamp.
- A evil bat god (Barbatos) sealed in Gotham.
- The Hell portal under the Asylum.
- The Court of Owls secretly Illuminati’ing the place up.
- Dr. Gotham, an evil warlock who was sealed under Gotham for millennia, radiating evil.
- I wouldn’t be surprised if there was more then one company dumping shit into the water supply just to dodge having to pay to dispose of it properly, but compared to magical evil of varying degrees, it’s kind of a non-starter on the “This is why folks are nutso” chart.

- Comment on Yakuza creator Nagoshi says the era of game size being most important is coming to an end 1 week ago:
Infinite Wealth was deffo a bigger map and set thereof then its predecessors (Like a Dragon was also substantially larger, as was Lost Judgment in comparison to its predecessor), but it did absolute numbers, so I dunno about that.
I think it comes down more to if it feels appropriately sized and filled. Prior Yakuzas were bursting at the seems with shit to do everywhere in their smaller maps. Breath of the Wild had new and interesting shit going on everywhere too.

That vote was like… 57% to 43% in favor of abortion, and only failed because it needed to hit 60%. Ironically the amendment that made that requirement possible didn’t pass with 60% of the vote.

Makes me glad I live in a state that got rid of the tipped minimun and just has one across the board minimum wage.

I use a app called KnownCalls that simply sends any call from outside my address book to voicemail. Works wonders.

- Comment on Should you trust that doctor? 4 weeks ago:
For reference on the no training side:
Dr. Dre and Dr. Venture: Both possess honorary doctorates. The former from UCLA, the latter from a Tijuana community college.
Dr. Pepper: Charles T. Pepper did have a medical doctorate. He is cited as a possible source of the name.
Dr. Evil: Evil medical school.
Zoidberg: Claims he lost it in a volcano, more likely a art history degree.
Dr. Horrible: Likely physics though he claims Horribleness (though it could be a catchphrase.)
Dr. Seuss: Intended to get a Doctorate of Philosophy, got an honorary doctorate of Humane Letters.
The Doctor: Per This - While pretending to be the Doctor in an effort to save herself from an army of Cybermen, one of the planet’s deadliest enemies, in Death in Heaven, Clara said: ‘I don’t even really have a doctorate. Well Glasgow University, but then I accidentally graduated in the wrong century.’I feel like a fair amount of those on the trained side aren’t medical doctors (Phil, Ock, Robotnik, Lector, Honeydew) or at the very least, aren’t folks you’d want around for your heart attack.

After a bit of looking into it: He has an unmonetized alt channel zackrawrr that is his primary streaming channel, but his main asmongold channel is still monetized and can be subscribed/donated to. I don’t personally follow the guy (as the only things I’ve heard about him have been uninteresting at best, and horrifying at worst [e.g. rat alarm clock] and have no interest in WoW.), so I was unaware. As a general statement regarding streamers though, what I’ve said is correct.
- Comment on [deleted] 5 weeks ago:
I’ve heard that it’s a two week ban, which for a streamer is huge, since any day your banned, subscriptions do not auto-renew. Guy will lose half his recurring income. Depending on the fan he could get it back of course since they could re-sub after he’s back, but there’s still gonna be a big chunk of folks who will either forget, forgot they were subbed to begin with and thus not notice they were un-subbed, or just use that as their clean break moment.

Bet it that stuff was inside the mall, with a camera watching it. Japanese vending machines like the one mentioned can be just outside nbd.

The caveat there is Moulin Rouge was a musical to begin with and didn’t have any prior expectations.

Twitter was the Final Fantasy 9 of social media, now its the Mystic Quest.
Lemmy is FF5. Reddit was 4 but now its Theatrhythm.
I will not elaborate.

If you haven’t already, Axiom Verge, both Blasphemous games and Cave Story are all consistently recommended (for good reason!), along with the two Ori games. If you get a bit further out from there you might try Psuedoregalia, Iconoclasts, Owlboy, The Messenger, Animal Well, Shantae and the Pirates Curse, and La Mulana.
