The original is by Shitheadsteve @shitheadsteve, and it reads “10 year old me preparing to tell my mom at 9pm I need glue and construction paper for my project due tomorrow.” There is an attached picture of Homelander from The Boys exhaling with a fearful expression on his face. The second post is replying to the original post. It’s is by Roy Wood Jr- Ex Jedi O @roywoodjr and it reads “6th grade I forgot the science fair was next day. 10pm in a panic, I find a loaf of molded bread my pops forgot to throw out. Made a study on mold, moisture & air. Got 2nd place in the school. 5th in the city. Bread so moldy I was praised for “conducting weeks of research”.

    I think Soldier Boy is Cap, Homelander is capitalist American (whom the Nazis took a lot of inspiration from) Superman. In any case the satire is well and truly lost on the people it’s aimed at.

Then there’s us kids who knew it was dangerous to ask our parents for crafting supplies even for a homework assignment… heck it was dangerous to be visible at home, let alone express a need.

I didn’t even have the moldy bread. I just made my entire project up off the top of my head the night before. It was some rubbish about running different batteries down on light bulbs and tracking their life spans.

When my dad remembered his herbarium homework the day of, Grandma ran in the garden and collected a variety of plants in a few minutes. Using the oven and iron, she produced the best dried plants in his class.

That’s why the new generation is week. In our youth there was no internet tk “make a study” at 10 pm. Mom and dad would have to improvise a vulcano until 3pm dor it to be dry in the morning. And all we had were our own parents fact to go on lol

  Well I guess your generation was preoccupied using brick phones to learn how to properly spell words judging by the amount of spelling errors, as well as lack of punctuation.
