So turns out we have a lovely case of influenza-A. Thanks COVID and flu combined test. I have a presentation in a week, and the slides are due on Monday. I might just apply for an extension.

It had my old name on it as well so I explained that I changed it due to having issues landing interviews in corporate in the past.

Work should appreciate I do the dodgy and work form my own computer when I work from home. My work laptop was borked with needing to login to bitlocker this morning, second day in a row. I would have missed my 9am meeting if I was only set up on the laptop.
The tradeoff is I may slip in a sneaky round of Nightreign at lunch but these are the deals we need to make

I absolutely despise the fact that people feel the need to change their names for jobs. When my dad rocked up to his first job, the manager said to him, “You’re not going to sell anything with a name like that.”
That was 40 years ago. He still goes by the name he was given by that manager with everyone except for family and close friends. I’ve never heard my mum call him by his name either. It’s only ever been “my husband” or “dad”. It’s like he’s been told to view his real name as an embarrassment, and I hate it.

Cat medical, cancer mention
Melbcat is getting the Aldara cream for her nose and lip today. I’m worried about the damage it’s going to do to her skin. But this is treatment to stop these actinic keratosis cells turning cancerous and spreading. ___
