Front yard has been mown (I did the back yesterday). It was a touch windier today, I had to swap out my broad-brimmed straw hat to my wind-resistant felt version. It provides less sun coverage but does stay on my head.
I have determined that the grass clippings from a full cut of front & back yard is enough to cover nearly half the edges of the back garden beds with a weed-suppression border layer. Hopefully that in combination with going around the grass edges with the edger to cut back any runner grasses will keep most of the grass encroachment under control.
