It’s great you’ve been able to reflect on things in that way.
I wonder if there’s a balance, like two in the morning and one in the afternoon so you can get through work with enough energy at the end of the day without being too hyper.
But I get the medicine probably doesn’t work that way
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Thanks man. I’m not describing it well.
I feel completely personally detached from work. Like there is a barrier between me, and work me. My entire self was engulfed by work.
Now it isn’t and it’s a great feeling!
If that makes sense.
I have been experimenting with dosages, and have found that works best.

They’re so alarmingly relaxed around humans, it’s so weird seeing wild animals that never developed a fear of big scary predators!

I love him.

Had a medical cannabis wafer last night, I don’t think I’ve ever slept so damn well.
I’ve been saying “wafer thin mint” all morning much to my own amusement.
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I got on the medical stuff a couple of months back and holy shit it’s great. A tad pricey, but my consumption is low, so it’s manageable.
Hopefully it’ll become legal and regulated sooner than later.
StudChud@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I’ve been on and off on MC over the last few years (tolerance breaks and financial reasons for the offer periods), and nothing has helped me sleep better than MC.
This is my first time trying the wafer though, and that was a deep sleep

People are getting seasick on this ferry. I am not one of them (I don’t get seasick, I’m very comfortable on open water) but the ferry staff have checked on me twice.
I can only assume they’ve seen me stand up and made the wrong guess
Force_majeure123@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I was on the Rottnest ferry as a wee lad and went to the toilet. I became airborne mid-stream multiple times.
anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone 1 year ago
For a sec there I wondered why you were on a boat in the dark

Smuggling. Shhhh

My daughter’s having some friends over next week for some birthday drinks. These are her 4 closest pals and it makes my heart swell the love and bond they all share as she is an only child. They are the most loveliest, responsible mixed bag of young people I’ve ever met.
The man and I will be in the backyard with a bonfire going roasting spuds and marshmallows because I don’t feel comfortable about leaving them on their own considering 3 of them are slightly under the drinking age. (And yes, I do have permission from their parents).
Also I’ll be making them some cocktails but they will be a little on the weaker side. They won’t know that though.
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Love that you’re creating a safe, respectful environment for your kid and friends, that’s really awesome.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
The good old fruit tingle is on the list! Cosmopolitans, illusions, tequila sunrise. Tbh they’ll probably only have 1 or 2 cocktails each and then stick to vodka & Solo.
Force_majeure123@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I remember the first cocktail a friend’s parent made for me at 16, some Cream de Menthe abomination. I loved it
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Maybe a grasshopper?
My first was a scotch & coke in a coffee mug made by my brother’s girlfriend at one of my siblings birthdays. I think I was 15.
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 1 year ago
As responsible as you are you’re still allowed to bring up embarrassing childhood stories at the worst time.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Of course. And I do.
Catfish@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I suggest Black Russians. They don’t taste like lolly water and you can dilute them quite a bit and still feel like you are drinking booze.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
That’s a good idea. Thanks
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 year ago
of course they are lovely and responsible, they have a good role model in you 😘🐱
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Nawww.
I never let any of them go home on their own. They either get picked up or I’ll take them home because safety is so important to me. In return they shower me with love.
My kid will say “You can’t go home at this hour on the bus. My mother will have kittens”. 😂

My French is better than I thought. I managed to direct/have a lengthy conversation with a French tourist who was gifted with enthusiastic but terrible English skills.
I’ve also picked up a katsu curry bowl and am ready to withdraw into seclusion for the evening.
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 1 year ago
A 20lm drive home (freeway driving) took 40 minutes. Between that and just suchhhh a shitty day at work, I actually had to go to the gym or I’d have torn myself apart.
Now sitting outside, enjoying the breeze.

21 degrees at 8:30am in May. Wtf. Just really really hoping that it doesn’t mean that Winter drags on as well!

Didn’t sleep well thanks to it being so warm last night.
I’m in zombie mode at the moment.

I don’t really fancy cooking and cleaning up after a stir fry today.
I think I’ll just air fry some thick crunchy chips tonight.

I would but scared of dislodging the clot. I fell asleep with new gauze in because it kept bleeding and am scared of doing something stupid enough to end up with dry socket.

Got lost at the hosplital yesterday picking up the ol’ boy from a day thing… twice. Ended up in areas I was not supposed to be in. Shoutout to the nurses there who took me on a little tour and were very friendly about it lol. Honestly whoever designed that thing back in the day (freemasons east melbs) was drunk.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Years ago, Mum and I were in PANCH, had a bit of time to kill. Let’s go and have a look at the newborn babies through the window she said. Apparently that’s a big no no. We were eyed with suspicion and then kindly told by the nurse “we don’t show the babies anymore”. Whoops.
Catfish@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I think this is going to work. It will show grot terribly, but be very cheerful.

Went and saw the Minecraft movie over the weekend with my two kids and two of their friends. Really fun. Small cinema so no meme related mess thankfully.

It smells like Spring, that sweet nighttime aroma wafting lazily through gardens and streets. I hear the beat of someone playing music, the distant sound of cars on the road, a low drone of overnight construction.
My seat is still counting, but I think Peter Khalil will pull through, it’s very close though!

He really cleaned up with the postal votes didn’t he. The 9,000+ people who voted for the liberal party in our area need to be slapped. He lives in Boronia FFS, and last year pleaded guilty to obtaining financial advantage by deception and was ordered to pay fines and compensation worth more than $10,000. He didn’t have a conviction recorded against his name so it wouldn’t have come up during a police check. People are entitled to vote how they want, but I’m also entitled to be shitty about it being a waste.
StudChud@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Kidney is a fucking blight. I hate that he has got as many votes as he has, stupid-ass voters 🤦🏼♀️
Salvo@aussie.zone 1 year ago
It is almost as if they won’t let people in the Liberal Party unless they have run some sort of Scam, and gotten off.
Zahid Safi still managed to get double the votes of Rhonda Garad in Bruce, despite the exposé in The Age.

I’ve managed to sort out the microchip records for Mr Woof and Miss Meow - I somehow had two seperate accounts and could only access one. They have now been merged and I can access both records. It didn’t help that I had lost the number for Mr Woof’s chip and it’s taken me ages to find it.
I discovered that Mr Woof was still listed under his prison ID, “Scampy”, a name that he hasn’t used since he was a puppy incarcerated at the Lost Dogs Home. It’s been fixed now, and I have the numbers securely recorded so I’ll be able to register them with the new council.
anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone 1 year ago
When I was a kid of our dogs was called Scamp, and she also came from the lost dogs’ home!

The way my brain works is so weird. I come home and I’m just dead. I have a feeling it might have something to do with it getting dark early and also not getting enough sleep. Or iron or something.
I spend time from 5pm to 9pm just eating, being zonked out, and staring into space pretty much.
I had a deadline 10 days ago, and because I’ve spent much of this week being exhausted, I didn’t meet that deadline and submitted nothing. I’m going to try not to beat myself up too hard sighs
StudChud@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Smashing out this research assessment - i wonder if I can get a small extension to Monday due to being unwell the past couple of weeks, but I don’t have a doctor’s note. Ugh
It’s my own fault but UGH

Good night everyone. Sweet dreams 😘
( Do you mean to wish me a good night or do you mean that it is a good night whether I want it or not? Or perhaps you mean to say that you feel good on this particular night. Or are you simply stating that this is a night to be good on? )
