Woo Hoo, I am finally splinter free!
I think once the anasthetic wears off it is going to really hurt - the splinter turned out to be over 1cm long and as thick as a matchstick. No wonder it would not come out! Iâve got another box of antibiotics and an extra dressing, hopefully that will be the last of it.
Really needed that tetanus shot!
Itâs a bit sobering to think that before tetanus shots and antibiotics a wound like that could easily have been fatal, or led to having the hand amputated (which also could have been fatal). Mind you, I would have already been crippled by the broken arm when I was 12

Little tomatoes are forming!
One plant seems rather short and stunted with black spot on the leaves so I gave all the tomatoes and zucchini a spray with the eco fungicide. I also saw white fly on one tomato so everybody got sprayed with eco pest spray too.
My poppy seeds barely sprouted but dried out :( Resowed.
The Jack be little pumpkins havenât sprouted so I might sow more.
Iâve moved the birds water dish to a less accessible spot but you know the dipshits are just going to come even further within the property line and trample my flowers⊠I need to slow down on the spending and try to pick a spot, but I may have to sacrifice precious back yard space to put a birdbath or water bowl there.
Off an hour early today l. Heading home before itâs too crazy in the city đđđ„°
Pest control man came. He couldnât find it unfortunately. He hung up odour absorbent bags, according to the packaging it âdoesnât just make odoursâ, it âeliminates them!â. Seems a bit ambitious to me. But fingers crossed it works
He said thereâs definite signs of both mice and rats up there. Droppings and insulation that had been lifted up where theyâve probably burrowed in to nest. He also said thereâs a massive hole up there which is where theyâd be getting in. Apparently itâs so large he didnât even need to use his torch. Thatâs promising, isnât it?
Not a possum which is good. That means the smell should go away in a week or two. But not great he couldnât find it and suspects there are more. And that thereâs a gigantic hole in the roof

Today is such a weird day. Super lazy and feels like im waiting for the event tonight.

So glad I never married my ex. They proposed just after HS, and I purchased the ring they picked out. $35 bucks.
I burned it along with the lovebomb letters and keepsakes theyâd given me, and threw it all in the trash, after we broke up.
Now I live in an apartment, with my partner and cat. We drink and go out, we stay in and chill together. He hasnât forced me into a shape to fit him. Itâs liberating to find a person who gives you permission to be yourself, unapologetically. I donât need a partner, but I found who I am because they encouraged me to do so.
Just a little appreciation of the way my life changed.
Now to pawn off the el cheapo gold and diamond necklace my ex gave me lol

I was an operations/billing consultant, 6 years in at an old job, and he was a temp in the call centre (where I had initially started). The works Xmas party was coming up, and because we (call centre, credit/payment plans, and billing/backend) were a small team, we didnât feel it was fair to exclude the temps from the Xmas party. So we successfully lobbied to have them invited too, it was some ritzy expensive place near docklands. Anyway, my partner (obvs not at the time) and I hit it off that night and I spent the night at his place đđ
Had to go home the next day to a very angry ex, as she was still living with me while her parents set up their bungalow for her đđđđ once she moved out in the new year (2019), that temp needed a pkace to stay as his share house fell through. He never left. He was meant to go back to Perth and then onto Canada for a job there. But yeah, what was a temporary stay with a FWB has turned into a 5 year relationship hahahaha now we have a cat so I guess weâre serious LOL

Ikr. In the case of my ex, I think they were always MTF trans, and before they realised, they took me and tried to force me into what they wanted to be themselves. Besides the actual sexual crimes they commited against me, I think that was theit reason for trying to make me more âfeminineâ. Their reason was they were helping me find my âgirlhoodâ after my mum forced me to dress like a boy when I was a teen so men didnât stare at me lol.
One extreme to another gosh. Childhood trauma can really set up some nasty adult relationships. Iâve found a happy medium now dw my wardrobe has lovely sundresses, skirts, pants, and shirts haha
