My boss just told me that the xmas do is this afternoon - but I also have a pre-existing dentist appointment for late this afternoon and there’s no possibility of re-scheduling it to a pre-xmas slot. Will have to wait until the new year at least.
So, dentist or xmas party? - so far the dentist is winning.

My TV turned on at about 4:30am this morning – woke up to the bright glow out in the lounge. I could tell it was just cycling through google stock backgrounds, but still didn’t want to go out and turn it off (stupid brain thinking awful things) and didn’t want to wake up boyfy since he was sleeping so peaceful after a rough few nights. Thankfully it turned itself back off after 10 minutes.
I’ve read stories about how Alexia will randomly start singing or playing sounds when people are home alone and I really hope that my TV story is the spookiest I ever experience from smart tech!

My first thought was the cat, but he was snoozing in his own room. Tried to convince myself it was a mouse. Or the remote randomly falling off the table.
My washing machine started filling up late one night. I nearly shit the bed. It turned out to be a timing issue.
Our doorbell goes off randomly at times, which isn’t fun when it’s late at night. Think it’s just a cheap doorbell problem rather than a ghost, like my colleague reckons
Whenever I hear about these things, I always think of that video (1:50) with the bloke staying in a Japanese hotel when North Korea were doing their missile tests, and his tv turned itself on multiple times

Today’s gonna be a shitshow, I can feel it. Oh well, at least I’ve got an extra set of hands and a removalist. I was hoping it wouldn’t come to indiscriminately throwing things in rubbish bags (that’s a site spot for me, as that’s what child protection usually give you when they’ve given you 15 minutes notice you’re moving to the other side of the state). But it wasn’t even procrastination, I just couldn’t properly start. I think I need the time crunch, being forced to throw ideals and organisation out the window, and somebody to help and hold me accountable in person for it to work
Gonna be rocking 3 hours of sleep again. I’ll get up at 6 and at least try to pack a bit myself, or at the very least do some tidying up and pack the non essentials (which I seem to find easier for some reason). Also need to finish constructing my dining table and make it out to the shops (tomorrow is absolutely not a cooking night, but also not an order in night, so I’m thinking roast chook rolls)
It will be ok. Removalists rock and will just deal with what you give them.
Moving is hard. And living on your own. Is hard. Yeah sure living with others can be awful. I love living on my own but I have 30 years on you and still needed my doc to point out that’s it’s legit hard to do this coordination and just all the day to day stuff on your own. So I’m just putting it out there that 3hours sleep or 10 it’s still hard. Be gentle with yourself.

Not saying this to rain on your parade, but since you asked, I don’t like it. I listened to it, and it wasn’t horrible, but definitely not going to intentionally listen to it again. Just not really my type of music. I don’t mind R&B/Hip Hop, but UK trap/drill is not my vibe at all. Probably the closest thing I can think of that I do like is Stay Blessed by Genesis Owusu, but even that’s more British rap-rock than hip hop or anything

It’s been a rough one. Melbcat was sick last night then had a urine accident in the bed, and is still sooky. All of this tells me getting the second course of antibiotics was the right thing to do. She still has the uti. It’s the same broad spectrum antibiotic as before which isn’t ideal. But due to not being able to get her seen in person at the start and then her still being on them when there was a chance for a urine draw - this is what we’ve got and it is what it is. At least it’s a liquid this time which is easier to give. But if it were pills I could count down to know just when she would finish and book a vet appointment for re-testing. This sucks. She’s otherwise very healthy and happy aside from the arthritis which is being managed. It’s just these damn constant utis. And she can’t have any of the special prescription foods. Metacam would help pain and inflammation but is recommended against due to her kidneys.

The removalists have arrived. That concludes the grind for me. There’s still little stuff to pack, but the big rush was making sure everything was clear for them to move
I’ve gotta pack up all my food, but I’m waiting til they’re almost done to do the frozen stuff
