what are you playing
I grabbed final fantasy rebirth, cult of the lamb and Alan wake 2.
I played the first final fantasy 7 remake on ps4 so keen to see what this new one is like.
Cult of the lamb is fucking awesome, played it a bit on pc.
And alan wake 2 looked awesome so keen to see what its like.
What do you play?
Decided to go to the gym to get rid of my âdickhead at work is screwing up my projectsâ gunk out of my system.
Just wanted to say, so glad you are back. It was very super weird without you. âš
thank you so much đđ
Oh weâre back
World Pasta Day today. Grazie. đ
Extremely important information.
If you open your food truck you can say âOnly pasta today, noâ.
Love me linguine, but kind of obsessed with curly fettuccine or mafaldine.
I choose.Orecchiette
Iâm having pasta again tonight!
I love tortellini and ravioli. Havenât had them in ages.
Anyway have to decide what sort of pasta I want to cook tonight.
The belly buttons! (tortellini)
Fat cat has decided that my feet are tonightâs headrest.
Looks like Iâm sleeping on the couch.
RIP đȘŠ my back I guess.
Howâs AZ working today for you guys?
Has been some down periods, mainly this morning
Yeah, oops. But since this morning?
All good now.
Yesterday I got a SSL handshake fail which I translated as a Silly Sausage Limp handshake but I am really curious what that actually means.
Secure Sockets Layer. Used to encrypt traffic on the internet. Neeeeerd
Itâs ok now but nothing was loading this morning.
Home time!
Pizza is on its way, snacks have been purchased, extra cat treats so I wonât be hassled for my pizza.
Letâs see if the ps5 was worth it.
Weâre on the same wavelength today.
I bought some fresh pizzas and some extra ingredients to add to them to make them stacked.
Going to be good eating over the next few days.
Enjoy your ps5!
Thank you! I look forward to the break from reality for a while lol
Cheers your Excellencies, distinguished guests, ladies, gentlemen and bald headed babies. đș
I am scared of horses. Fuck this thread.
Theyâre alright until they kick you in the sternum.
Cheers CEO! đ»
Also, fun fact of the day - beer is an old-timey treatment for colic in horses
And it works. Gotta be warm and flat though.
good beer is a pure herbal drink đș
eyy peter garrett
Why are you doxing yourself like this?
Cheers with my lethal coffee!

I think I may have just secured a GA ticket to Pearl Jam⊠Say what you will, but they are a seminal band for me. Many core memories burned into my soul.
This version of Ledbetter was on a complication album I had of the Tibetan Freedom Concert from 94 (?)⊠All thatâs missing is the we are the mighty mighty bosstones as the track ran into the next one. Ha.
Iâm taking my son to one of the shows. Itâs his first concert, and he loves PJ.
Itâs my first concert in about 18 years. The last one being, Pearl Jam in 06.
My friends went to that '06 show. I donât even care which show you went to, my friends toured Australia and went to them all. That was before that got married and had kids, of course. đ
Nice. I was lucky to see them in 95 with Mudhoney opening. Great show but stinking hot in the venue.
Oh, I would give something to heat Black live.
Hard though, Ten was very much the pinnacle for me.
This week I have partaken in some obsessive Spring cleaning. This included doorframes and fly screens.
Still plugging away towards SDC (aka Swedish Death Cleaning). Very mixed feelings about it. Also Llab has become even more like a mix between mecurial Melbourne weather and a Cure album (Wild Mood Swings should about sum it up). Itâs just almost like an OOB experience.
Like being super cognisant of highs and lows. The promise of two good days of weather boosted me so much that I actually thought I was going a bit batty and the snap change⊠oof⊠Bon voyage, motivation.
How us Melbournites survive, I really donât know. Itâs a bit of a mystery. Haha.
Iâve got a heap of decluttering to do and read the SDC book (among other things). Itâs good, but I found it a bit hard to think about the reality of what it presents, if you know what I mean?
My back is acting up. And the Coffee I bought was a shot short. Therefore, it had too much milk and was lukewarm.
This has not been a great morning. đ
I love my sister dearly, I really do but when she has shower thoughts while on the phone to me, it takes alot of courage to not go yep, yep, yep, yep so I pepper my responses with *right, ah ha, mmm, yes. Bring on beer oâclock.
I got paid all my leave. I thought I wouldnât get it because I was terminated, but itâs all there. Trying to keep my leave was one of the main reasons I was trying to make my old job work, and I thought it would be a loss Iâd just have to eat moving into the new role.
But I got it. Iâm going to hold onto it because I probably wonât get paid over Christmas, so I can hold onto the leave pay Iâd have to use then anyway.
Maybe you always get your leave, because youâve technically already earned it. I thought it didnât get paid out if you got terminated
Iâve got the day off. So far Iâve contacted Elderâs ex school about emptying his old locker so I can sell the books and waiting for a call back. Twiddles thumbs Made and drank a couple of coffees. Looked at a website of clothing that I absolutely fell in love with, but it turns out theyâre unreliable and the clothing is not up to scratch. Devoâd as it was totally my style đ (It was Airpears Japanese ocean art style clothing, not so much the dresses but the shirts, pants and menâs hooded fleece jackets that I loved).
I caved and went to colesworth on the way home. Airfryer chicken schnitzel for dindins tonight. Plus a few vinos in honour of Pasta Day. Big shout out to all the pasta grannies out there. They are inspirational.

A while back I mentioned the writing competition I am running with the help of Libraries Tasmania. There are 2 days left and we have 40 entries so far. Itâs gone so much better than I thought it would. Iâm really happy with the entries, especially since the second biggest library/area got flooded so might have missed out on a few entries from kids who didnât know about it.
Next year, if they want to do it again, Iâm going to add another field for comics/graphic novels.
Ergh, way more interest than expected at todayâs viewing. So many couples⊠goddamn couples how can I compete with you on a fulltime wage let alone a part time one đ
At this point Iâm just going to throw it all to the universe and believe that whatever unit I get will be the one Iâm meant to be at.
Place next door (4 apartments) goes up for auction tm. Iâm in two minds.
If sold itâll be developed which means noise.
If sold finally the weirdo in one of the apartments who kicks bins and cuts the lawn with hand shears and has a go at me about leaves falling in Autumn will be gone.
Have learned something that MUST be shared. Not only is it National Pasta Day, but National Champagne Day!! (not to be confused with International Champagne Day, which is 31st December). This one is declared by the Champagne Bureau. I might need to celebrate - just had carbonara for dinner!
Are you, too, ashamed of disaster in your under-sink cupboards?
No pizza today because I had that on Tues and leftovers the last two nights. Tonight instead I have fish and chips for the air fryer. And Iâll sautee some spinach for helth.
In the midst of everything Iâve forgotten entirely to figure out upgrading the firmware on my phone so it can do 4G calls. Just got a notice today saying theyâll block me from calls AND data after 28/10, what the fuck, I was just going to keep going on data for a while before I worked it out. And I think theyâre doing it based on phone model regardless of whether youâve actually enabled 4G calls the hard way (this phone is technically capable of it, just needs the right firmware). Not something easily explained to call centre supportâŠ
Zero spoons for it tonight but I guess Iâll have to get cracking on that tomorrow sigh I do have my work phone as a backup at least
I dared to look at jordan peterson politics vid. đź
regardless of what our principles are there are some real problems with him and his politics followers
Peterson is a genius, he really is. Heâs far smarter than 99.5% of people out there. Problem is heâs arrogant and bitter and doesnât seem to question his world view and what he does much. Thatâs an easy habit to get into. He needs better friends to knock some sense into him.
His politics followers are not stupid, just average, but they donât have the skills or knowledge to see through all the bullshit, scams and lies out there.
Got the day off as well today.
Treating my to a meal and coffee today.
Airâs a bit chilly though.
Hullo
Wake up sleepy heads. đ
Might be a little pissed right now. Met up with family friends who I hadnât seen for ages. Was nice. I feel like I overshared but they did ask probing questions. Oh well.
Fun list of sayings I have heard tonight:
Tomorrow Iâm going to slather on the calamine lotion and take the family to the latest Lucha Fantastica wrestling event. Itâs the Mexican Day of the Dead festival. Canât wait to go! I buy the tickets pre release so they cost very little, and we go out for lunch before the event. Itâs our little family outing every 2-3 months and I look forward to it for weeks (usually itâs me and the kids going out, or Mr P and the kids, like a divorce lol).
Air Supply is underrated. I can hear any song, from any room and Iâm there singing my guts out.

Test results still not back. đ€Źđ€Źđ€ŹRash is spreading all over arms and legs, my butt, neck, and has just shown an interest in my left boob. I feel utterly miserable about it. My MIL (whoâs had her share of skin issues) says, âOh I always get my results back 24, 48 hours at the most. But then Iâve had my tests done by the specialists.â Yeah alright miss smarty pants private health cover part pension, youâre not helping.
bacon@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
They are growing the bacteria and I guess they want to be thorough so that will take days. Way longer than blood tests. Fingers crossed you find something with an easy fix!
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Thankyou, thatâs a good explanation. The thought that they have to deliberately grow this thing makes my skin crawl even more! And thankyou again, Iâll give them a call.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
exactly, itâs completely different and takes time
Duenan@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
In the interim is there anything that might sooth the symptoms?
Do antihistamines help any with this?
I wouldnât listen to your MIL, donât need her 2 cents about her experience and how lightning fast things are. Doesnât help you in the slightest.
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Iâm just about to try some antihistamines. And thankyou re MIL, she can talk underwater with a mouth full of marbles
Seagoon_@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
just rest , so many gentle hugs
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Thankyou Seagoon đ
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Rough. I hope you get your results soon. Can you call the path lab?
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Iâll call them soon, I just went out to buy antihistamines and soft cotton top which covers ugly throat rash.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
shingles?
regardless what it is, rest and relieve your symptoms
so many hugs and I hope all the peelers are looking after you
Llabyrinthine@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
hugs Hang in there .
Is anything topical working for you?
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Calmoseptine. And calamine lotion but Iâve had to use lots. Anything else just seems to feed it shudders
Taleya@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
stupid rash stay in your lane
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Thatâs what I thought too! Stay away from the bosom!
Thornburywitch@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Do you have any anti-itch cream available? Iâve found that plain vaseline can help with mystery rashes, helps stop the itches. Not a cure, not even close, but may help with symptoms until you get your results. Sending some healing vibes through the aether.
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Thankyou, Iâve Calmoseptine and calamine lotion. Everything else just seems to feed it. Ugh!
melbaboutown@aussie.zone âš4â© âšweeksâ© ago
Iâm sorry, that sucks. I had pityriasis rosea or some such, Iâm hoping itâs just a reaction to a virus and nothing more serious đ€
I also potentially have mast cell flares = rashes
One thing I found is to just very lightly and carefully âslapâ the itchy spots or like tap it with an open hand or fingertips - or even better do it right next to it on healthy skin. It distracts from the sensation without causing as much irritation as scratching.
However if the skin is in any way compromised ie. fragile, damaged, weeping, or infectious - donât do this. Donât touch it
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone âš3â© âšweeksâ© ago
My God Melba, that Pityriasis Rosea looks uncannily like what Iâve got! Weâre the sores weepy at all?
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone âš3â© âšweeksâ© ago
Thankyou Melba đ
