Mick On tHe mOvE. No camera exposure is going to capture that apex predator.
StudChud@aussie.zone 2 months ago
He has just rolled up from licking his arsehole 😂 I was trying to get a shot of him in an inappropriate position, but he was too quick.
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 2 months ago
His colours are awesome!

Must. Stop. Eating. Chocolate. Coated. Ginger. It’s hard - my heart cries out in fear.

Oooh SIL’s bday is today she didn’t wish me well for mine last year am I going to be petty or be the bigger person. A glass of wine will provide clarity.
Duenan@aussie.zone 2 months ago
As long as it doesn’t lead you into send a long string of obscenities.
just_kitten@aussie.zone 2 months ago
What did you decide 👀 I am invested in this particular bit of drama.
wscholermann@aussie.zone 2 months ago
It used to be that people had holidays in Australia and notably mostly within their own state as travel was too expensive.
Now holidays within Australia are too expensive so people go overseas.
wscholermann@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Don’t be tricked the illusion of Melbourne’s “fools Spring”. There will be a cold snap back at some point.

By all means enjoy it …while it lasts. Just don’t put your jacket away yet
Catfish@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I put the heater back in its box. Apologies if this jinx something
StudChud@aussie.zone 2 months ago
What a lovely afternoon to do nothing at all
Duenan@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Been so nice with the sun out as well. Not that I was really outside for much of it.
StudChud@aussie.zone 2 months ago
My plans have fallen through
But that’s okay with me
I’m as chill as chill can be
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I am doing so much housework 😫
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I downloaded the Inspector Gadget cartoon thinking it’d be great to watch.
Except I didn’t realise that if you had a crummy youth, nostalgia just brings back all the fear you used to feel.
No more nostalgic stuff from childhood for me. Never occurred to me before that this is something that might happen.
Gratefully, that time is long ago now.
SituationCake@aussie.zone 2 months ago
It’s amazing how triggers can lurk for decades totally unknown to you that they even exist, until one day they happen. Stressful childhoods are a life long affliction. I’m envious of people who had pleasant childhoods. It’s a life cheat code.
Eagle@aussie.zone 2 months ago
It shouldn’t be a privilege to have a childhood you need to recover from, but it is.
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Yeah I honestly didn’t think about it. That a show from when I was a kid would bring up a bunch of shit.
Can only make good memories now and moving forward. That’s the way I see it.
Eagle@aussie.zone 2 months ago
It’s the Wonder Years for me.
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I tried teenage mutant ninja turtles and the same thing happened.
I’m just going to leave it alone now.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 months ago
What a beautiful day. I bought another backpack. Got trapped in the car listening to modern music which felt like hours but infact was only 40 minutes.
bull@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Felt gross so I’m hydrating like a mofo today. I think maybe that was the issue.
No adventures for me this weekend either. Staying put and keeping it really low key. Trying not to get too much in my own head about things progressing. I’m scared but also excited. I’ve spent so much time on my own for way too long that I just hope I can come back from it without being weirdo… well, the weird kind of weirdo anyway I’ve always been a goofy weirdo.
Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 2 months ago
weird kind of weirdo
Pretty sure that’s everyone :) It’d be weird not to be weird.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 months ago
ikr, self conscious individuality is one of the most endearing things about humans
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 months ago
What if people really like the goofy weirdo you? 🙂 Weird weirdo? Is there such a thing.

One day I’ll retrieve the plot, but not today.

I used to love sleeping with my arm giving me support underneath my head and neck but my shoulder just won’t tolerate it anymore.
just_kitten@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Same!! My shoulder really started acting up last year and I only got some relief when I was housesitting for someone and used one of those memory foam pillow things. I bought one for myself and it seems to have done the trick. I’d been sleeping with my arm under my head since I was a kid.
wscholermann@aussie.zone 2 months ago
We are unfortunately getting old and it’s showing.

I regret to say that film was absolutely not worth going out for and I wish I’d stayed home and gone to bed earlier. Oh well. At least it was a direct tram to and fro and no traffic on the way back. Almost home. Some buscopan and chamomile tea and bed asap. Goodnight.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Goodnight and sleep well 🙂
melbaboutown@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Miss moo is having a hard time of it. But I managed to get her some of the good stuff and while she’s not up to wet food she’s licked some cracker crumbs and managed a few handfuls of treats.
just_kitten@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Y’all enjoying the glorious day outside and meanwhile I spent most of it asleep. Dead to the world till 10am, dozed off several times from 1 to 4 pm. I think I just really needed to rest for my immune system to recover. I’m glad I did, as I don’t feel as off as I did yesterday. Zero caffeine today as well which was probably needed.
My tomato plant that kept going all winter has finally truly carked it, I think (well that’s what I said at the end of summer but then it found new life somehow). I harvested about 15 little cherry toms and they were DIVINE - bursting with sun-ripened sweetness. Chopped em up with sardines and had them with a fried egg on toast, that was a very satisfying brekkie. Think I’ll have another crack at growing a tomato plant (or two?!) this coming season even though I don’t always have great luck with them.
Tomorrow I have decided I will head into the main uni library and hunker down there. Free parking nearby so I can stay late if needed. No distractions unlike at home. I feel a lot less glum about it knowing I’ve had plenty of rest today.

What movie did you end up seeing last night?
Llabyrinthine@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Lovely afternoon with the sun! Sat in the park and lapped it up for a little while. ✨
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Had a nice pub lunch and then went to the cinema to see Deadpool and Wolverine. What a glorious day, feels like very positive spring vibes… makes up for the sinus issues I had during the night. My nose started running and just would not stop until early this morning.
TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I have the map back! But not the tram icon.

Today under the glorious sun I’m going to move soil from point A to B.
If you think about it, pretty much most things we do (this is very deep) are getting things from A to B.
StudChud@aussie.zone 2 months ago
I try getting myself from point A to point B, but end up at the crossing of Æ and ß
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 2 months ago
That does describe my job very well. Or maybe it is more accurate to say I coordinate others getting things from point A to B
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 2 months ago
housework is nothing but moving things A to B in our futile battle against entropy
mostly moving dirt and poop
Force_majeure123@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Round two of the electric dumplings boogaloo: this time I just boiled them rather than whatever the fuck I did to them yesterday, and they were wayyyy better. 8/10, would buy again gladly
TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Toldya. Even better in soup or on ramen.
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Spent half the day in the garden. Mowing, weeding, fertilising, whippering and snippering, pruning and so on and so forth.
Had a nap, a kebab for lunch and Viet Spicy beef noodle soup for dinner
Lounging with some drinks and watching a flick with the fam (may have puffed some magic herb too)
Life good

Movie Review. Live and Let Die. 1970s Bond movie with Roger Moore.
a Bond Blaxploitation movie en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blaxploitation
I like how Black Americans* ( insert latest phrase ) are masters of their own lives, they make choices
But some of the racist and bigoted depictions of people made me gasp.
Just had to remind myself that this is pulp fiction/men’s sex adventure genre, it’s not high art.
The motor boat chase was really excellent and Bond was a good detective, he solved the case and also kinda saved the girl.
I don’t care what Paul McCartney said, the song is lame …lol. Maybe his voice is too sweet.

Nice and warm today. Haven’t had to use the heater. So strange after it’s been so cold for the last month.
Trying to de-stress today but still going through some dramas.
I’ve had my coffee for the day. I think itd be foolish to have another, even if it was an instant coffee.
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Are you sure about the coffee thing? I’m sorta thinking of throwing caution to the wind and having one myself.
Duenan@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Hmm well I’ve had a moka pot coffee already today.
It’s just shy of 4pm right now to not sure.
I’m half tempted though
Cendana@aussie.zone 2 months ago
Seems more idiots on the road today.
2 lane roundabout. I’m doing a right from the left lane (as the arrows indicated), almost collected a guy who did a left from the right lane.

Good news (she said cautiously) after being very wobbly and actually wanting food but refusing everything, Sammi actually got back on the bed and had a nap, then after giving me some purrs and snuggles, she was much steadier when she got down and ate with appetite. Not the normal amount but she gave it a good go.
I’m much more hopeful now - earlier on I thought I was going to have to phone the vet tomorrow and have the ‘is it time?’ talk.
Crossing fingers for continued improvement!

Good news!
