This was proposed during the Cold War. In 1981 Roger Fisher proposed having the nuclear codes in a capsule inside the chest cavity of a naval officer, whose job it was to carry a butcher knife to be killed with. The US should have compulsory military service, once the Dem Socialists are in charge.
No buying your way out, no exemptions unless you’re in a vegetative state.
Everyone has to do it for 2 years.
It will build more generational solidarity than anyone realizes.
If the rich kid has to serve alongside the poor kids, maybe he’ll get a sense of what real life is like, especially if he’s the dude taking care of the toilets, or recycling milk containers.
That and making congress like jury duty, one 4 year term for everyone

They have always been fascists, authoritarians. Nothing they say or have ever said is to be taken as in good faith. They’ve always changed “the rules” to suit their policies, and the democrats pretend that they have to play by “the rules” no matter if they’ve been engineered to castrate them. Government is theatre intended to distract us from realizing that we are all in this together. Everything is a distraction. Celebrity idolatry, television and movies, sports, it’s all designed to keep our minds busy and occupied so that we don’t recognize that the systems of control of our society can be changed.

A well made pair of leather dress shoes will eventually mold themselves to your feet. It’s a different feeling to a sneaker, not fabric and foam rubber obv, but they can be super comfy. I’ve even got a pair of Frye boots I’ve had for like 20 years that feel tight when you first pull them on but then they’re just like a second skin, you forget they’re even there

This was a while ago, but it was a Tuesday night at my bar and Cillian Murphy was there by himself, and he hung out and chatted with me for like an hour, hour and a half. I was a 20-somethiing bartender at the time- there was no one else there really, he had no reason to be nice other than he was just a nice guy.
