  Alright, here is a story: One time a member of my family was showing my vacation pictures on their phone. Swipe, swipe, swipe - beach, hotel, restaurant etc. all very normal stuff. Then suddenly there is a picture there that was clearly intended to be seen only by that family member and their partner. Swipe on to the next picture - a normal one again. Continue on like nothing happened.

  Both of us never acknowledge that. I never told that to my friends or family. I am going to take that secret to my (non-internet) grave.

  Just pointing out, if you’re sitting on a couch, the couch’s back rest is blocking the mirror at the level your phone is at. I guess if the room is standing just at the right distance they could see it but I find it to be likely BS.
