I got in trouble when I worked in the store for doing this in the ‘display’ even though they have a blackout door over them

One of them is between Mango Mussolini’s ears. I don’t smoke, but I always liked the Lucky Strike logo.

A lot of the damage smoking caused was the filters. A lot less people die today from smoking, and of the people that live to 100+, most of them are smokers. The nicotine is helping people live longer from current studies.

I’m gonna need you to cite a source for any of that if you want me to believe you are not working for tobacco companies.

Just to be clear I’m in no way endorsing smoking, and think smoking is good for you. All I’m saying is the rate of cancer and lung problems went down significantly after the removal of asbestos (and other dangerous chemicals)from the filters, and people over 100 tend to be smokers (the ones that didn’t die from cancer, but for the benefits from nicotine)

It feels like EU Directive 2014/109 chickened out in comparison to those pics. Especially all the warning labels regarding children or fertility… a large portion of the imagery is almost comedic, showing that your balls will explode, and that babies will mooch your cigs.

We probably started that, here in Australia

nope
Canada, december 2000
Brazil, 2001 (later also added blunt phrases with the gore images, eg, “you die” “causes ED”)
Aus, 2006
UK, 2008

Here in Brazil there’s even a popular joke about someone who went to buy cigarettes and received a box with the message that it causes erectile dysfunction, and then asks to change it for the one that causes cancer

Wow. We were really slow on that one
Actually super surprising

We did, in fact I feel those are the exact same images from our packs. I haven’t smoked in a long time so can’t compare, but they feel identical.

Of course I was much too young to be smoking or drinking, so I was delighted. Not A-B though.

the eyeball ones are my favs because you get a natural bullseye to put out your smoke if in need.

It’s suppose to discourage smoking, but it’s got people collecting all the boxes like the names bottles of Coca-Cola.
