The Dubvee site is being used for crime. AdmiralPatrick has included JavaScript at the end of the page to send 1,000 requests to dbzer0 to attempt to DDOS them.

The Fediverse isn’t about empowering users and local communities it’s about saviours making sure us savages get what’s best for us.
- Comment on Why does Australia tend to ban or censor video games? 4 days ago:
I’m talking about political and societal attitudes; We’re outliers. Simply being on the Fediverse makes us outliers with a strong bias towards more tech and gaming based interests.
It will be another 10-20 years before politics catches up to us in normalising video games and understanding they’re important cultural elements not simply kids entertainment. Until that point in time, their importance is going to be neglected by politicians and Christian lobbyists will be able to exert their influence over moral policing them.

They may have grown up with video games, but video games were not the cultural force they are today. For my entire childhood they were for nerds, now everyone growing up plays them.

Our country is incredibly lazy and slow to change, and Christians hold a lot of power.
Likewise the median age of politician is 50, so they’re not really a generation who value gaming.
But mostly it’s Christian’s and their forced morals on the rest of us.

From what I understand @AdmiralPatrick@lemmy.world/@pzt@dubvee.org does the whole ‘I’m quitting forever’ thing every so often.
It was forked by db0 here and you can see the commits made by the original dev 2 weeks ago.

And the new net will be ID-gated for everyone. Everything said and done will be tracked and known to state actors.

As funny as that sounds in highlighting the hypocrisy of it all, it opens them up to harassment and verbal or physical abuse from phobes.

- Comment on One of UK's biggest illegal tobacco hauls seized 2 weeks ago:
Together, the products were estimated to be worth more than £525,000, the force said. Officers also seized £2,000 in cash.
They’re clearly not inflating the street price. Each one of those 348,500 cigarettes could be sold for £5 if you get creative enough.

If a transphobe is in a space, they are committing a violent, abusive act. Make a scene, call the cops and, if all else fails, punch them in the face.

“I’ve been told that slaying dragons will get you burned,” was his defiant response when he claimed victory against Mirror Group Newspapers in December 2023 over historic allegations of unlawful information gathering, adding it was a “worthwhile price to pay”.
