Always keep in mind that pedophilia is not a choice. It is a sexual orientation that cannot be healed or changed. Just like homosexuality. Do you want to throw homosexuals in the shredder, too?
to be clear, it is not a sexual orientation, at least not yet; it is a paraphilic disorder (a fetish that, if satisfied, brings harm to self or others).
also to be fair, homosexuality used to be listed as a “sexual deviation”. our standards on what is considered a sexual orientation versus a paraphilia may change with time; case in point: pederasty was a socially-acceptable thing in ancient greece and rome.
The labeling does not change the fact that the person does not having it voluntary. The key difference is just that one is (usually) between consenting adults, and the other is not.

I know it sounds way less catchy in the meme, but imo it’s worth being explicit and saying “child rapists” instead - someone who’s attracted to children but has morals and won’t act on it (I’d guess this is many or even most of them) deserves therapy and compassion, not death

I think you misread what I said as trying to protect child rapists - please reread it, I absolutely agree rapists like epstein and the pieces of shit he enabled deserve the wall. I’m saying people who were born attracted to children won’t all act on it, the same way you (presumably) can find someone attractive and not rape them, and the ones who aren’t rapists don’t deserve hate.

By conflating pedophilia and child abuse you give cover to child abusers. Most of the time children are abused because they’re vulnerable. It’s actually the only reason we have statutory rape/abuse material laws.
