  In case you’re not terminally online enough to be aware of the Lemmy Discourse^TM, one user has been persistently using the thorn in otherwise ordinary (or even high quality) comments and it’s made a lot of people very unhappy. This has been enough of a thing that piefed had an instance-optional filter to convert þ->th for a while, though it’s been removed since then.

  I think most of the negative reaction to your post is people upset about the thorn specifically rather than your post/comment
