- Comment on Why would I buy this? 3 days ago:
I understand the single player campaigns are somewhat fun. I’ve had Black Ops on my Steam wishlist for years and it has never been on a decent sale.

You would lose money by not buying it.

Yeah I had some fun with Day-Z and Player Unknown’s Battle Royale, but the repetitive rounds in those sorts of mods got boring to me pretty quickly. Especially the scavenging for gear each time, I just wanted to battle but it feels like work.
I have the same sort of issue with RTS games where you are in a race to build your base and units, I don’t enjoy speed harvesting and building.
- Comment on Why do so many hand dryers not dry hands? Am I doing something wrong? 1 week ago:
I just shake my hands into the sink a few times, bypass the dryer and wipe my hands on my pants and let them dry as I walk. Doesn’t take long.
- Comment on For a while Microsoft was the King of PC stuff. How come they didn't just cozy up to the PC but had to do the XBOX and pretty much lose their ass with all the cash grabs? 1 week ago:
They tried to lock people into the Xbox ecosystem instead of being open like Steam Deck.

Often wrong. Anyone identifying as a Nazi is at best mentally ill and at worst fully evil.
- Comment on Texas National Guard arriving in Chicago 2 weeks ago:
Didn’t Trump and Hegseth just call the generals together to rant about fat officers? Why did they immediatly mobilize fat soldiers then, that’s worse.
That is of course in addition to the fact that deploying them on US soil with no foreign enemies is plainly unconstitutional.

I was stoked for BF6 until it wanted me to enable Secure Boot and install rootkit anti-cheat. Now with the Saudis and Jared Kushner in charge installing a rootkit to play a game is an even worse idea. Maybe if I only used the computer for gaming.

They are neat dogs, but they often have a bad case of Little Dog Syndrome where they lose their shit if bigger dogs or animals are around.
- Comment on Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week? 5 weeks ago:
Trying No Man’s Sky for probably the third time. It’s clicked a bit better this time. I jumped back in because of the Corvette building, took me probably a week of evenings to finally be able to build one. It’s pretty darn good, I think it finally clicked. The storyline still feels like the longest checklist tutorial ever, 30+ hours in.

I play SO many demo or early access games without the Invert Y option, so it’s off to discussions to ask the developer to add that so I can play.

Yeah I bought it about a year ago and had a lot of fun with it. There are a lot of different gameplay systems and the combat is satisfying.

- Comment on How long do we have before PCs get locked bootloaders and corporations ban installation of "non-approved" software? (for context: Google is restricting sideloading worldwide on Android ETA 2027) 1 month ago:
For starters you do your research and don’t buy that hardware, or maybe better you buy it and then return it because it doesn’t allow you to install the software you want.

I just bought an ONN 4K steaming box and the charger is micro USB. Short cable too. Copper is expensive on a $20 box I guess.
