- Comment on ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ Going Digital-Only Is a Car Crash for Physical Media 1 day ago:
I miss physical media as much as anyone but there is really no point in a physical release.
I bought GTA V PC on disc because I had slow internet. There were 5 discs and 2 of the brand-new sealed package discs wouldn’t read. I spent half the night polishing the discs with toothpaste and finally got the install to succeed. And then the first time I launched it, it required downloading huge update files before it would let me play. That took many more hours.
- Comment on PlayStation sales just had its worst May in 25 years, and Xbox's was the worst ever—Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch 2 just became the second-fastest-selling console in US history; and other insights 1 day ago:
The last console I bought was a PS3. I just don’t see enough reason to buy a new console, and I absolutely will not pay to play online.
- Comment on Poll: Will you buy GTA 6 when it launches on your platform? 1 day ago:
I’ll buy it if/when it comes out on PC. I loved GTA 3, 4, and 5. I finished 3 and 4, never finished 5 but still love exploring and roaming the map.

- Comment on Is there hope for humanity? Or are we just destined or designed to wipe our own selves out? 6 days ago:
Humans will survive, but we may have some MAJOR population decreases. Earth will survive, nature will survive, one way or another.

Lol, because I mentioned an organization named Mothers Against Drunk Driving (I didn’t name it that), now I’m against women?
I lived through the societal change, I was just trying to briefly describe the change. Geez.
- Comment on Rough date 1 week ago:
I don’t remember saying that
- Comment on Rough date 1 week ago:
30 years ago it was more of a “no harm, no foul” attitude. People would regularly drive around while actively drinking and mostly were not bothered.
Then organizations like Mothers Against Drunk Driving did a lot of lobbying and got politicians to make more laws and police to actively enforce them.
Now the blood alcohol limits before you can be arrested for DUI are fairly low.

Uhh, that’s what I said, there’s no TV. Fartknocker!

There’s like no TV and stuff.

I’m assuming that Levi’s paid buttloads of money to have that sign there, and I’m further assuming that there is something in their legal agreement that allows the sign to be covered at the request/demand of a more special/privileged client?

We have a county reservoir and our idiot leaders have made a deal with Amazon to give them 40% of the reservoir capacity. That is a big problem, especially now what we are in a drought in the springtime.

And hopefully it will continue IF you can keep the government for the people and keep billionaires, corporations, and authoritarians from having too much influence.

Indeed I meant castration. Remove the compulsions while leaving the person alive and not having taxpayers pay to jail or monitor them the rest of their lives.

- Comment on If AI is so smart, how come it doesn't track the time and date? 5 weeks ago:
Current generative AI does not think. It is a word prediction engine with a huge database of websites and other data to pull from, and and natural language input and output.
Really being able to input and output fairly good language is the most impressive bit to me. But it doesn’t think or understand the words it outputs.
If most people on the internet kept posting Bugs Bunny was the first president, AI would say that too.
