I was stoked for BF6 until it wanted me to enable Secure Boot and install rootkit anti-cheat. Now with the Saudis and Jared Kushner in charge installing a rootkit to play a game is an even worse idea. Maybe if I only used the computer for gaming.

If it was me I would apologize to her briefly and clearly in front of other people.

I think sometimes the validation servers are down and rather than pass an error it just passes a “no match.”
- Comment on Ay, chihuahua! 1 week ago:
They are neat dogs, but they often have a bad case of Little Dog Syndrome where they lose their shit if bigger dogs or animals are around.
- Comment on Weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing this week? 2 weeks ago:
Trying No Man’s Sky for probably the third time. It’s clicked a bit better this time. I jumped back in because of the Corvette building, took me probably a week of evenings to finally be able to build one. It’s pretty darn good, I think it finally clicked. The storyline still feels like the longest checklist tutorial ever, 30+ hours in.
- Comment on Who plays like that x_x 3 weeks ago:
I play SO many demo or early access games without the Invert Y option, so it’s off to discussions to ask the developer to add that so I can play.

Elite, Wing Commander, and Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe shaped me before looking up or down was even a thing in FPS games.
- Comment on [Request] A good multiplayer mechwarrior-like game 4 weeks ago:
Yeah I bought it about a year ago and had a lot of fun with it. There are a lot of different gameplay systems and the combat is satisfying.

- Comment on How long do we have before PCs get locked bootloaders and corporations ban installation of "non-approved" software? (for context: Google is restricting sideloading worldwide on Android ETA 2027) 4 weeks ago:
For starters you do your research and don’t buy that hardware, or maybe better you buy it and then return it because it doesn’t allow you to install the software you want.

I just bought an ONN 4K steaming box and the charger is micro USB. Short cable too. Copper is expensive on a $20 box I guess.

Don’t do it. No matter how cool your ex seems, odds are this situation with your girlfriend moving into the house would cause big problems in ways you can’t foresee.

Maybe the majority don’t want a 2 door truck but I and plenty of others do. All the interest in the Slate truck shows that.

We are in an administration that lives by “the ends justify the means”, so I’ll allow it this once.
- Comment on Tetris Elements – one of the strangest Tetrises ever released 2 months ago:
Never heard of this one, looks cool.
My current favorite is Tetris Plus, the versus mode with the little professor guy trying to get the treasure while a spiked ceiling keeps falling is fun. When one player fills 2 or more lines it adds random junk to the other player’s board.

- Comment on Ubisoft Confirms a New First-Person Ghost Recon Game is in Development 2 months ago:
The original Ghost Recon games in the 1990s and early 2000s were first person and more outdoor/wilderness oriented than Rainbow 6.
The latest 2, Wildlands and Breakpoint, are third person but still great games.
A lot of people like myself complained about the third person. So this is giving the OG hardcores what they want, could be a good thing in spite of Ubisoft.
