This is the right answer. Will you get looks? Probably. Will you be slightly embarrassed? At first certainly. Do the opinions of random passerbys matter to you? That’s the only question you should be concerned with. If it makes you feel good/pretty, that’s all that matters.
Unless you are Angus Young, yes.
I think the motivations of the 26-year-old are immediately called into question in a way they wouldn't be for someone of high school age, so in that sense at the very least, yes, it's strange.
What are, or do you suppose are, the motivations of this 26-year-old? (And note that "because they want to" does not address the actual motivations.)
This REALLY depends on context. What kind of uniform? What kind of public event? Who is nearby? How are they acting?
The possibilities range from completely benign and uninteresting to some that warrant arrest, and everything in between.
Yeah, “school uniform” can mean a lot of things. I know a lot of guys who wear slacks and a button down/polo that could be used as a uniform at school. However, there are some styles/patterns that feel uniquely school uniform.
It is OK if you are Angus Young…
What about if you are 71?
Then you are Angus Young (old)
That’s somebody’s kink
Wat. Yes. WAT?
yeah.
it’s a fetish/fashion subculture thing. that is strange by definition.
it’s not normal for adults to wear school uniforms as they are not in school.
Yes
Depends. If people can guess your age more or less correctly, then, likely yes. Strange in the sense of weird.
If it’s obvious that you are on your way to a costume party or some cosplay event, then, it’s probably not considered too weird but it will still be considered unusual.
They look nice. Wear what you want.
If you’re self conscious enough to ask, do yourself a favor and ditch it.
Yes. Even a letterman jacket, you have until August of the year you graduated, then never again.
I would say so, yes.
Do you mean dressing like a tart?

Like is it a branded one?
My partner has one that was just like a kilt, stockings, and a shirt. She only wears it for…reasons…at home, but it wouldn’t look too out of place in public.
