- Comment on Why did an old friend who stood up for me in school block me when I messaged him on Facebook? 5 days ago:
Don’t take it personally. There are a million reasons he might not want to use facebook trash anymore. Plus, there was no way for him to be sure that it was really you.
- Comment on Why isn’t "Democrats would never get away with this" seen as a problem for the left?” 2 weeks ago:
We’ve been told for generations that the Democrats are “left”, so many people have accepted it as truth. Repetition is powerful, especially when it’s been going on since before you were born, and your parents and grandparents believe it, too.
Not enough of us realize that Democrats aren’t “left”; they’re just not as obviously, painfully “right” as Republicans.
I hate our two-party system.

This is something you make for either a close friend or dire enemy. There is no in between.

If you have absolutely no standards, it’s easy. If you’re trying to filter out the assholes who will make your life hell, then you’re right, it’s not easy.

I’ve seen too much news involving cowardice and hypocrisy. It’s nice to see someone take a principled stand.

Does EA own any other companies/brands that we should be aware of?
- Comment on Lemmy users who say that Lemmy users are smarter than Reddit users 5 weeks ago:
In my experience, Lemmy users generally seem to be more mature (with significant exceptions), but “mature” certainly isn’t a synonym for “smarter”.
Plus, reddit is SO EASY to make fun of. They might as well reward people with terrible ideas and their most obnoxious users. Spez, for example.

- Comment on For those of you who enjoy open-world games, how big of a world is too big? 2 months ago:
What determines what "too big" is?
Ease of travel and speed of travel. Even a small map can feel cumbersome, repetitive, and boring. If the missions are designed poorly, and the game mechanics ignore an entertaining user experience, walking down the same hallway a thousand times can feel like a chore.
“Too big” is a relative feeling that involves many factors.
