Technically, kryptonite is also our kryptonite.

If you can avoid that rock for around 60 billion years, it’ll be almost entirely lead, and then you can mock it. ‘Not so tough now, stupid rock’

aw fuck i’m weak to lead too

My weakness isn’t Uranium, you can just throw a rock at me and I’ll probably die.

Okay you go me. What does the tye dye do to weaken regular humans? Is it tripping on acid in a Grateful Dead concert?
FinjaminPoach@lemmy.world 16 hours ago
Wearing it makes them GAY and LIBERAL !!

Milkdrop on winamp. You just get sucked in
BigBenis@lemmy.world 14 hours ago
Doesn’t even have to be radioactive. Too much salt will kill you, as will any rock with sufficient mass and velocity.

Being able to kill something with “sufficient mass and velocity” is a characteristic of all matter.
Apytele@sh.itjust.works 13 hours ago
Can’t kill another rock. Just makes more rocks.

No way, the only thing scientists have proven that can kill me is shellfish. That’s it’s. So far, nothing else.
Yliaster@lemmy.world 17 hours ago
It doesn’t even need to be radioactive/kryptonite.
Imagine getting hit down there with a rock. Yeah, I’d call that a weakness.

Hmm, you know, I’ve never thought about it, but I do avoid movies with The Rock in it. You may be onto something!
…wait, no, I liked The Rundown.
…and Jumanji 1 wasn’t bad.

I enjoyed Walking Tall

I mean the rock isn’t going to kill you. It’s the radiation that does, so no, our weakness isn’t a rock.
gnutrino@programming.dev 19 hours ago
Depends how hard it’s being thrown at you…
tyler@programming.dev 12 hours ago
You got me.

Life pro tip: While humans are indeed vulnerable to gamma rays from uranium, it’s usually all around more expedient to just hit ‘em with it. And for that, many rocks will do, even just plain old feldspar.
saltesc@lemmy.world 21 hours ago
Found out it works with wood too!
