I’m playing Bride and Prejudice and trying to teach Bill Cat to dance.
He is having none of it.
How can he be a decent cat and marry Pyaari if he doesn’t know how to dance.

Bill’s just being a bro. He knows that Ted is sweet on Pyaari and doesn’t want to block his chances
I’ve fallen into a Pyaari hole. I can’t decide if she is really that sweet and docile, or is plotting to leave a deposit in someone’s shoe.
If you’re in the mood for Bollywood may I recommend Taal? There’s a version with English subtitles on YouTube. I don’t like either of the love interests but the songs are good
Sounds great, I’ll have a look. 😊
Where’s my snack?
That’s the look of “oh god not again”
He’s just not a dancer , not like Casey and Allie were.
Done! Avoiding temptation to fuss with the pickles reuben sandwich cakeensandwich cake
That looks pretty awesome.
Thankyou! It’s certainly not photo real but better than cartoon
Very well done!
Sammidge! Did you end up doing crepes for the meat
Yes. Sweet crepes with some fake raspberry drops, and real powdered ones on the edge
Looks like a giant oreo gone wrong, but I bet it tasted great.
I don’t quite know what’s wrong with me, but I’ve been vague and had no real energy for like, a week and a half
Same. Im starting to think it’s daylight savings.
Same - I put it down to the amount of travelling I’ve been doing and the vague upset tummy I had a couple weeks ago. Loaded up today on vitamin D, iron - the two things I get low on first - and ginko which seems to help with post viral shenanigans 💪 . But I suspect its just spring blues. I need Christmas holidays
I’m trying to bump up the B12 and start to actually take my vitamin D (on top of multi gummies). I really hope it helps
lots of vague viruses around at the moment
I had that sore throat dizzy one 2 weeks ago, got palpitations too, and it’s hard to shake, might be some post viral syndrome
Rebuilding a gate atm. Lotsa little arguments w/ ol’ boy on how to do it. He’s the type where every idea is bad unless it’s his.
Anyway we run into a problem where it needs propping up at the hinge. Not wanting another bs argument I stand back and watch, waiting. 20 mins go by nothing was working.
My old black lab had a kong that’s been outside for probably 20+ years and still in good shape.
So when he turned his back, I chuck the kong under the gate. Perfect height, perfect swivel of the gate. Kong is the same colour as the house looks like it’s always been there. Sturdy af.
He goes back to the gate to try something else… sees the kong, tries the gate, tries it again, looks at the ground and walks away without saying anything.
3 days later the kong is still there lol.
Felt good.
Never underestimate the kong.
I hate people that act like that almost as much as I love gloating over them when I’m proven right.
And of course remind them regularly.
I can’t understand that, ideas and decisions are exhausting
I’m always looking to other people for ideas, inspiration and sharing responsibility
I’ve gotta rebuild half of my front gate. I don’t like digging the pits for the posts. I wonder if I can get someone with a post holer to swing by and drill out two big holes?
One of my interviews tomorrow is in the building where my mother used to work 20 odd years ago.
What a fucking coincidence. Lots of memories attached to that place.
Wow, if you do get an offer and decide to go for it, I hope you can make new and better memories!!
Thank you! Fingers crossed :)
Oh oh. I’ll guess I’ll see some of you at the 3am had-a-nap club.
For some strange reason I always wake up 7:37am every morning. Doesn’t matter what time I go to bed, that must be my lucky number.
Sighing in lol
My mate Dave has a new album out tomorrow.
Happy Friday eve
May all the bastards leave you alone today, and tomorrow.
There’s still a bit more mulch to put down to widen the area along the back and many plants to go in, but I think it looks much better just having a laid out garden bed instead of just bad quality grass right to the edges. It will be great when I finally have some proper plant growth too.
Image
that looks like it’s going to be awesome
Do you have many trees planned?
I’m not allowed trees unfortunately, the landlord put a 2m height limit. Which is a pity, I would have loved to do a dwarf gum tree. Fortunately there are quite a few good habitat trees in the estate and they are doing native planting in parks around those so there is a decent amount of canopy trees around, along with nature strip trees. I’ve got a couple of dwarf citrus which will fit within the height limit (depending on which references you look at!)
I’m doing natives all down one side, including a wattle, callistemon and (if I can get it to grow) a banksia. Then a mix of smaller shrubs and groundcovers. Lots of things to provide food and habitat for birds and also for bees.
I just folded and put away a doona cover that was inside out. I didn’t even find its matching pillowcase. That’s how crazy I feel today.
I store mine inside out. Makes it heaps easier to put it on the doona if you start inside out.
That’s totally wrong. Nah just joking. As long as it gets on the doona who cares.
I prefer the starfish way. Grab the doona ends, get inside the cover, find the top corners, flop onto the bed, find the bottom corners with my toes, slither back out, do up the buttons. Adjust.
I just realised I’m incredibly uncivilised lol
That’s what Gibson told us too.
I reckon it’s the wind & full moon
I think you’re right. I did find the pillowcase and reunited them.
Ok yes I am heading home sick.just exhausted and started getting sore throat and felt dizzy. i think maybe weekend starts now but we’ll see
Get well soon.
does not sound good
rest up and get well soon
Today is 6 months since I stopped taking suboxone.
It was absolutely the best decision I’ve made in a very long time and the benefits have been unbelievable.
Not being completely numb has been a bit of a wild ride but things have settled down now ❤️
so many hugs
I don’t like how society ( internet and americans ) have pathologised emotions
emotions are real life
When I was looking after elderly gran, my American aunt stated that I probably don’t want to be wasting my life looking after elderly relatives. I thought and replied along the lines of “isn’t looking after relatives one of the main points of life”. But somehow my dad and his siblings having grown up in the States are some of the more selfish got-mine people I’ve ever met.
One of my goals for the medium term is to learn how to write properly, and that involves researching well. I am dragging myself to academic skills. Stuff AI giving my ideas. I want my brain back if it was there to begin with.
Good night everyone, may you have a restful sleep and sweet dreams 😘
Breakfast muffin lottery gave me bacon and egg today 🙂
Almost called in sick. So tired from shit sleeps all week. Will have larger than normal coffee and reserve the right to go home early.
I reckon I’m still struggling with day light savings.
Summer time changes takes weeks to get over.
Same
Operation UnKAOS continues 😊
Agent’s 86 and 99 are hot on the case.
😎
this is a strange kind of UnKAOS, I am putting time use into order, not my surroundings or how I do things
one of the first things I had to do was stop letting my sleep get disturbed
I am getting push back of course but I am not letting it deter me.
Here we go again…
My herb plants arrived, and they look very healthy. I’m not sure how much planting I’ll get done tomorrow though, it looks like it’s going to be very windy. But the plants are all set up in a tray with water in the greenhouse, so it shouldn’t be too urgent. I still have a dozen of the native tubestock to plant, with another 26 plants expected to arrive next week, so I’ll definitely be busy. Plus I need to get some vegetable seeds planted!
Unreasonably grumpy this morning. Anyone got a dad joke they care to share?
My chorus of jackhammers and I bid you all good morning
This is what I get for having a nap during the day 🤦♀️
Some random person just walked around the back of my unit and stole all of my neighbour’s nonslip mats. All that rustling and bumping was them pulling one out from under my fence where it had slid.
Bunch of weirdos
Now I have to listen out in case they try to set up on the property.
I watched another movie last night because I couldn’t sleep, called Shadow of God (2025).
It was really dumb. The concept was superficially interesting, but it felt like a neckbeard atheist wrote it trying to be all smart about a religion/s they have little understanding of.
Priest who does exorcisms (and demons are real in this universe) returns to his hometown and finds his long dead cult leader father alive. Plot moves and priest starts to think that maybe it isn’t a demon possessing his dad, but God himself.
It was poorly executed, it could have been smarter, or they could have leaned into more humour or silliness and made it a fun bad movie. But it was played too straight, and the lore didn’t make sense.
1.5/5 hobbits. Watch it if you are/were religious and want to get mad 😂
Today I am listening to the CD soundtracks to Slumdog Millionaire and Bride and Prejudice
Regrettable nap gang clocking in
Ugh. This passkey business is related to Windows Hello which is some biometric authentication bullshit on Windows 10 and 11.
You can just set up a PIN but it feels so fishy because of the other options. Like… How the hell are they going to ask me to scan my fingerprint to play Minecraft alone on my own machine? Suck my nuts.
Fake Reuben I coming, wish me luck?
