I’m glad it works for you, my pancreas attracts every other object in the universe with a force a force proportional to there masses and thusly the distance between them.

    • cut off the top and bottom
    • on the bottom, look for the pith lines, usually 5 of them. Cut down from there all the way to the bottom, so that you have 5 slices. If you’re a pro you can not cut all the way to the bottom and simply starfish it.
    • Take a slice and a wooden spoon. Beat the ever living daylights out of the back of the slice, the delicious rubies will go flying everywhere…hopefully into the bowl you put underneath where you’re thwacking. Or, if you don’t have an anger management disorder, just tap the backs gently, ymmv.

This is the answer, folks. I learned from an old 3 star michelin star chef, and chefs all have anger issues.

Not all chefs. Some cover their anger issues with drug addiction.

    Pomegranate the easy way

I mean I want there to be an easier way than “peel underwater” but every time I see a life hack that just rehashes that method, I’m glad to know I haven’t been wasting my time.

I find this method easier and no water involved. To each their own though. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9U4X9uh-sZ4

My pomegranate method is to cut the peel into quarters along the ~4 corners, and then I just bite into it and be okay with eating a lil bit of waxy stuff

This is solid. Basically, peel them in a bowl and submerged in water

  • the_q@lemmy.zip ⁨15⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

Crack them and then do the deseeding under water.

    are pomegranates that unhealthy?

    source
    • TheTechnician27@lemmy.world ⁨14⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

No, pomegranates are actually very healthy. They’re rich in polyphenols (a class of antioxidant), fiber, and a variety of micronutrients, and they have a low glycemic index.

That’s exactly how I would feel if someone had my trapped and told me they would stick pomegranates up my rear end.

      !No! No pomegranates!
