This right here is why everything is so fucked up.
- Comment on AI Electric Bills 5 days ago:
Why would the companies pay the bill? What are we gonna do, not have electricity or go use the other company that either doesn’t exist or is raising rates for the same reason? Folks like you are just now noticing that this whole system is a scam, but unfortunately the time for action was 30 years ago.
- Comment on We wouldn't listen, anyway. 6 days ago:
This right here. Humans assume so much based on their experiences and interpretations. It’s infuriating the assumptions we make. “That turtle just eats, sleeps and shits! It’s clearly not intelligent! It’s never read The Hunger Games!” goes back to working to afford a place to eat, sleep and shit while also subjugating others, inciting wars, destroying the planet and reading The Hunger Games

It always irks me that even though we have no idea what consciousness is we assume it’s a human only thing.

Older games relied on the players imagination and scanlines to fill in the gaps that the technology wasn’t able to produce and in a way that was a better way to do things I think.

I didn’t say anything about not enjoying it or boycotting it. I said that the more money Larian makes the more likely that they’ll turn into every other profitable company where making money becomes the only point. I don’t know why you and the other replies think I said something I clearly didn’t.

- Comment on The show I was watching went from "Free" to "Paid" *while I was watching it* 2 weeks ago:
It’s not an insult. Continuing to pay for increasingly shitty behavior leads to even shittier behavior. We’re talking about streaming, but this extends out to the capitalist built economy. We’re funding our misery. Every person that continues to participate just reinforces that misery.

If you’re still paying for streaming services you’re part of the problem.
