this is literally just a photoshopped/dyed wind chime LOL
Comment on Operation enduring algae
IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf 2 months ago
anyone with a real degree in microbiology would know that you cant keep microbes in those little glass balls with little to no oxygen
this is green dye

no, it’s either a screenshot from - or an AI replication of - the 1996 movie “The Rock” starring Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage in which the depicted item is a dirty bomb / chemical weapon poised to wipe out San Francisco using Alcatraz as a base of operations.

I just assumed this gas station/liquor store was selling anal bead strings…
MBech@feddit.dk 2 months ago
No hardware store is complete without wares that make you hard.
monotremata@lemmy.ca 2 months ago
I’m not sure it’s AI. There are people who build screen-accurate prop replicas as a hobby. Here’s a post by a guy who made a version of the beads. www.therpf.com/…/the-rock-vx-gas-build.332887/

Ah yes, wind chimes. That was my first thought.

Will this turn the frogs green?
some_kind_of_guy@lemmy.world 2 months ago
Hopefully. Can you believe what the left has done to frogs? A colorful frog
Agent641@lemmy.world 2 months ago
It’s crazy how being gay is a lifestyle choice, but the left can also force animals and kids to be gay against their will. Weird that is both of those things simultaneously
Fedizen@lemmy.world 2 months ago
Well as experts on what is “natural” christian fundamentalists seem to have a lot of strange opinions on sex, gender, dinosaurs, heliocentrism, etc.
A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 2 months ago
Not only did the chemicals turn the damn frogs gay, it turned them rainbow too!
Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 2 months ago
Even the left made frogs PoLiTiCaL
vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 2 months ago
Is this the type of frog where I get high if I lick it or does it just kill me or both.
Zink@programming.dev 2 months ago
cute + gay
drmoose@lemmy.world 2 months ago
That’s a one good looking frog tho
ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 2 months ago
You close the microbes in the ball moments before you fire the rockets. They only have to survive the couple of minutes it takes them to reach the target (the pool).
G4Z@lemmy.world 2 months ago
I thought that in the movie it was some kind of nerve agent?
MimicJar@lemmy.world 2 months ago
I have a degree in Internet oddities if that counts. I know bottle gardens are a thing, where you have a sustaining ecosystem of plants inside a bottle. Could you make them small spheres instead? Maybe?
IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf 2 months ago
thats when you have an entire ecosystem, not just a singular microbe species
IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf 2 months ago
these glass spheres are sealed tho
MimicJar@lemmy.world 2 months ago
A bottle garden can also be sealed.
IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf 2 months ago
this is way too small and undiverse to be an ecosystem, and a bottle garden only works because the springtails or other small animals inside produce co2, which is turned into oxygen by the plants or algae inside, and the cycle repeats over and over
sniggleboots@europe.pub 2 months ago
see they even fucking admit it! green die! the left are fucking nuts!!!
Hupf@feddit.org 2 months ago
I’m literally dying over here.

You’re so green man…
